Two-Bit held a large bag in front of my face.
"What's this?" you asked, trying to peer inside, but Two-Bit snatched it away before you could look into it.
"Just take out something and nobody gets hurt," he growled jokingly. You laughed in response before blindly sticking your arm in the bag and pulling out an item.
"Gone with the Wind, huh?" you asked, curiously. The next thing you knew, Two-Bit had you firmly wrapped in his grip and he was dragging you to a closet. "Two! Put me down!" you screamed, slapping his wrists.
And the next thing you knew, you were in a tiny closet. With Ponyboy Curtis. You jumped, startled. "Uh, hi," he said, seemingly just as confused as you were.
"You assholes! Let us out!" you shouted, ramming the closet door, but clearly, they were holding the door to make sure you couldn't get out. You heard the loud snickering from outside and gave in, sitting down against the wall. "Dickheads. I guess this is their pathetic attempt at 7 minutes in heaven."
Ponyboy laughed. "I think this is their pathetic attempt to try and get us to hook up." You laughed too. Ponyboy was your best friend of ten years, and there was absolutely no way that you were ever going to be anything more than that. Hopefully. Maybe.
"So... we got 7 minutes to do whatever the hell we want," you chuckled, standing up. "What do you want to do?"
"I don't know... maybe we could give it a try?" Ponyboy asked, nervously.
"Give what a try?" you asked.
"This. I mean, I've got to hand it to them, they have been pretty determined to get us together," he continued, shifting his weight.
You bit your lip. "You actually think we would be a good couple?" you asked, slowly approaching him.
"Well, I don't know," he stammered.
"Alright, then let's see," you said, gaining your confidence. Oh my God. You were about to hook up with your best friend. You slowly put your hand to his cheek - which was surprisingly very soft. You shivered when you felt his hands on your waist. And the next thing you knew, your lips were on his. But after a few seconds, you both pushed each other away.
"Nope, nope-" Ponyboy said.
"Yeah, not happening," you added, wiping your lips. "Ugh, it's like kissing my brother!"
"I know, right?" he agreed.
"So... we have a few more minutes..." you said. "How about we stay quiet and pretend that never happened?"
"Yep," he said, nodding.
And finally, after what seemed like ages, Steve opened the door. "So... what happened in there?" he said in a sing-song voice, smirking.
"We just talked," you said, pushing Ponyboy out of the way (as you normally do). Everyone groaned in disappointment as you grabbed the bag from Two-Bit and looked inside. "Isn't this something?" You turned the bag over and the contents fell out. There were six other copies of 'Gone with the Wind'.
You looked over at Ponyboy and smirked. He gave you one equally menacing and you both knew exactly what you were going to do. You quickly grabbed Two-Bit and Ponyboy grabbed Dally and you both whispered something in their ears. Two-Bit cackled and nodded, and Dally scoffed but agreed.
With a nod of your head, you and Two-Bit lunged at Soda while Ponyboy and Dally lunged at Steve, and you all dragged them into the closet, laughing.
"You fuckers! Let us out or I'll beat the tar out of you!" Steve yelled from inside as I locked the door.
Ponyboy and you laughed so hard you fell onto the floor. "Now that is indeed fun," you said through laughs.
"That's how you play 7 minutes in heaven."
