The scene of war that the twins had seen – people fighting, angry shouts, screams of pain, fallen dead bodies and blood everywhere. It had been imprinted into the young minds of the Uchiha twins.

After coming back, Y/n started training hard following Itachi’s lead. Itachi had told Y/n that he didn’t like bloodshed. That he wanted all the war and bloodshed to end.
And Y/n? She wanted to make her brother’s wish come true. Y/n desired peace and safe environment, not just for herself or her family, but for every child that will be born in the future.

After returning Y/n had seen a woman carrying a baby as she walked around the village, buying groceries and Y/n didn’t want the baby to be hurt. Seeing the small and fragile baby, Y/n felt a strong desire to protect that little life.

Desire to protect those precious burnt brightly in Y/n and she trained hard to become strong. Itachi and Y/n always trained together. Their training? Taijutsu, throwing shuriken and kunai.

Itachi began reading about history of the shinobi world and Konoha. Y/n would always sit besides him and read as well, wanting to do the same thing.

When the Third Shinobi War was finally over and those still alive came back to the village with scars both physical and mental, a funeral service was held for all those who had sacrificed their lives to protect the village and it’s people.

The twins stood besides their father in front of the red fire symbol stone wearing black clothes as they listened to the conversation a man was having with their father. They talked about Fugaku having support to be Fourth Hokage and the sharingan that Kakashi now possessed.

“What should we do about Kakashi Hatake?,” one of them whispered.

“He doesn’t belong to the clan but possesses the sharingan,” he continued.

“I received a request from Obito Uchiha himself saying he was almost crushed under the rubble but was saved by Kakashi Hatake and that he had given the sharingan by will and would like for it to be that way,” Fugaku said.

“But Obito is still a child. He-,” the other whispered.

“Obito Uchiha is a Shinobi who fought alongside us. We should respect his decision. His grandparents were really grateful towards Kakashi and crying. We Uchiha’s never forget gratitude and Obito just repaid his debt,” Fugaku cut him off.

Those around him who heard it, nodded and let it go, remembering the day they had returned and their morals of gratitude. Fugaku also talked about how they shouldn’t sow the seeds of war, just after one had ended.

Itachi looked at a side as he noticed a person in the graveyard. Y/n looked at Itachi and followed his gaze to the person. Itachi walked towards the man, Y/n following after him and the two of them stood, staring at the man.

“Grieving over the dead is meaningless. If there’s any meaning in death, it’s to take advantage of it,” the man said.

“What is the meaning of life?,” Itachi asked.
“There is none,” the man answered.

“Does that mean your life also doesn’t have meaning? And everyone else?,” Y/n asked, tilting her head confused.

The man chuckled at her question, looking up at the sky for a few moments before answering, “Who knows?”

“Even you don’t know mister?,” Y/n asked.

“There’s meaning in life if it’s eternal,” the man answered.

Itachi looked towards where they were before. Y/n continued looking at him, curiously. The man turned his head and looked at the twins and then he walked away. Itachi looked around to find the man walking away.

After that Itachi disappeared somewhere when Y/n went to tell Fugaku that they were going. When Y/n couldn’t find Itachi, she went to search for him.

Meanwhile, Itachi stood at the edge of a cliff and jumped off. As he fell and neared the ground, Y/n’s crying face suddenly flashed in his mind and he removed a kunai, stabbing the stone, trying to stop himself from falling.

But that did little to help him. Removing another kunai, he tried to stop or slow his fall, but to no avail. Suddenly he was surrounded and saved by crows who disappeared after.

Only one crow sat in front of Itachi, who sat in front of a river. “No one wants to die, right?,” Itachi asked, looking at the crow.

“Itachi!,” a shout echoed through the place. Y/n was running around shouting for Itachi and soon she found him, running towards him.

Y/n saw crows flying around Itachi and thought they were attacking him. Y/n threw kunai, shouting, “Don’t hurt Tachi!”
“They aren’t hurting me Y/n!,” Itachi shouted.

Y/n stood in front of Itachi holding a kunai, but stopped throwing them. “Y/n it’s okay,” Itachi said, placing a hand on Y/n’s shoulder.

After a few moments, Y/n relaxed as she saw they only flew around and kept the kunai inside. Itachi held out his hand and crows flew away, only one came and sat on his outstretched hand.

Y/n and Itachi looked at him. Y/n stared at the crow intensely and the crow flew away. “Hey wait!,” Y/n shouted after him.

The crow flew around overhead and Y/n pulled out dango she had bought on the way while searching for Itachi to eat with him later. Y/n sat down and place a stick of dango besides her and pulled Itachi down afterwards.

The crow flew once and sat besides her eating the dango. Y/n squealed with delight and looked at Itachi. Itachi smiled at her and then the two ate dango alongside the bird.
