Chapter 3

"Please take care," the nurse said.

"Thank you very much," Mikoto replied.

With that Mikoto and twins left the Konoha Hospital behind them. "Mom...," Y/n called out.

"What is it?," Mikoto asked.

"Are you sick?," Itachi asked.

"Oh, it's nothing like that," Mikoto answered, stopping in her tracks.

She turned towards the twins who were walking behind her, "You see... You're going to have a little brother or sister. You're going to be big brother and big sister."

"Mom, I want a little brother," Itachi said.

"Me too!," Y/n chimed in with a smile.

"But a sister will be cute too, wouldn't it?," Mikoto asked.

"No! Tachi has me," Y/n pouted.

"I have a feeling that it would be a little brother," Itachi said.

"Oh!," Mikoto and Y/n exclaimed seeing snow fall and looked up at the sky.

"It's snowing!," Mikoto said.

"It's going to be born in summer," Mikoto spoke to herself.

At home...
Fugaku and Mikoto were talking about the baby when Y/n had interrupted them. "Okaa-san, when is the baby coming? Where is the baby?," Y/n asked from besides Itachi who listened silently.

"The baby is coming in summer. It's here," Mikoto placed a hand on her belly.

Y/n looked at Mikoto horrified. "Mom ate the baby?!," Y/n shouted.

Mikoto and Fugaku looked at Y/n and laughed. "No sweetie. Baby is growing here," Mikoto answered.

"Huh? Really?," Y/n asked.

"Yes. Really," Mikoto nodded.

"Come on now. Let's eat," Mikoto urged everyone.

After being told about the baby, Y/n and Itachi began to follow Mikoto around, helping her and going away only for training like usual.

Y/n was super excited for the baby as she has only seen them from far and heard that they have soft cheeks and small hands and it's really cute.

"Tachi let's train to protect the baby!," Y/n said everytime they went for training.

It has been a while, a few months since Itachi and Y/n started following Mikoto and today it's no different. Following Mikoto and carrying groceries for her, Itachi and Y/n walked happily hand in hand.

While walking through the park, Mikoto seemed to have met someone she knew and greeted her. The twins just stood besides her as the two women talked.

"Ah~ It's been a while since I last saw you two. You both are looking cute as ever," the redhead woman said.

Itachi frowned while Y/n smiled, "Thank you!"

"Do you know that aunty, Y/n?," Itachi asked Y/n.

"Nope!," Y/n shook her head.

The two women chuckled. "Of course, you don't remember. You were a little baby the last time I saw you two," the redhead explained.

"I'm Kushina!," the redhead woman introduced.

"Itachi. Y/n," Y/n said pointing at each of them in turn.

"You both look so similar. It's difficult to distinguish you both until you talk! Or unless you are actually trying to see!," Kushina said.

"Right?! Tachi and Y/n look same! It's fun to be Tachi and talk to others!," Y/n replied.

"Huh? So you change places with each other sometimes?," Mikoto asked, with a frown.

"Only some times! Not very much!," Y/n said quickly thinking their mother will be angry.

Kushina laughed, "It must be nice!"

"It is! I love Tachi," Y/n said, side hugging Itachi and he nodded hugging her back.

"These two are so cute! I'm envious of you," Kushina said.

"You wouldn't be if you knew how bad it could get. Sometimes I couldn't recognise them as babies myself and used to feed one of them twice. If they were out of each other's sight then they would cry so loud that even neighbours would know that they were somehow separated. It's was really stressful," Mikoto told her.

"But when they were together, they would be quiet, even during the night there weren't many times that we had to wake up. Whatever the case though, I wouldn't want it different since you can't help but love them," Mikoto smiled at the twins.

After that they two women continued talking for a while and Y/n took Itachi to sit on swings, while waiting. Mikoto and Kushina realised they were talking for a while and agreed to meet at a later day.

"Kushina-san is nice!," Y/n concluded while walking home with Itachi and Mikoto.

"She is. She is the Fourth Hokage's wife too," Mikoto said.

"Wow! Really? The one whose face is on the big stone wall?," Y/n asked.

"Yes. Do you want to meet him?," Mikoto asked.

"Yes," Y/n nodded. Itachi nodded as well.

"We'll meet them some other time," Mikoto said.

"Okay," the twins replied in sync.

Author: Oh hi Itachi! Where's Y/n?
Itachi: Helping Okaa-san at home.
Author: Oh I see. So you're not going to help?
Itachi: I came out to buy fruits for Okaa-san and Sasuke.
Author: Aww so cute! You sure do love Sasuke a lot.
Itachi: I do! I can't wait to meet him.
Author: Hehe then maybe let's meet him soon 😁
Itachi: Really?
Author: Yup! Anything for my Tachi 💕
Itachi: Am not your Tachi. Only Y/n's *Itachi runs away*
Author: Aw man! And here I thought I'll sweep you away from Y/n too *pouts*
