TW: Self-Harm this chapter

Rolling onto her back and letting out a groan, Chaeyoung felt arms pull her in. She would've grumbled and wiggled around but this morning with the sound of seagulls, she felt a sense of peace all of a sudden.

Mina was safely beside her, wrapped up in her jacket from having shivered the night before. Chaeyoung was still shirtless, realizing so as she felt sand tickle her abdomen and opened her eyes.

"Mina, I need to get my shirt." Chaeyoung whispered.

"Just go without it." She grumbled. Chaeyoung let out a laugh.

"If we were at the dorm I'd go naked for you. But we're..." Chaeyoung sat up and widened her eyes.

"Mina get up! We slept in the dunes the whole night! We gotta get out of here!" Chaeyoung yelled. Mina groaned, rubbing her eyes as she sat up.

"Do we have to?" She asked with a pout. If Chaeyoung hadn't been in a frantic state, she would've planted a kiss on Mina's lips.

"Yes! We gotta go! You have work and I gotta get back to the dorm!" Chaeyoung yelled, throwing on her shirt full of sand before running down the dunes. Mina sighed and zipped up her jacket, throwing on her underwear and shorts.

"Geez...at least help me out." She mumbled before heading down the dunes and to Chaeyoung's car. The girl was frantically throwing things in the back, trying to clean up before hopping into the car.

"Chaeyoung...we need to talk. I've been thinking about something." Mina said as she hopped into the car.

"What? About breakfast? We can get something on the way home." Chaeyoung said.

"No. That's not what I want to talk about." Mina said, looking away.

Chaeyoung started the car, immediately zooming out of the beach. She could hear the sound of the waves growing fainter as they disappeared from the shore.

"I don't know what this is, Chaeyoung. But I don't want to continue this- whatever this is." Mina said.

She didn't dare look at Chaeyoung who's expressions seemed to change dramatically but slowly. She looked confused at first, trying to fathom what was being said. Then she began to furrow her brows as she gripped the steering wheel. What this is? What was this?

"Wait Mina-."

"I thought about it and I don't want to continue like this. Whatever this is without a label. You haven't introduced me to your other friends. You haven't mentioned me to your family. I don't want to continue this if it's going to stay like this." Mina said.

Chaeyoung gripped the steering wheel tighter, not knowing how to react. She hadn't taken her medications so her control over her mood was nonexistent. She was going to lose it, lose her grip. And she did.

"What do you mean? How do you think I feel about this situation? You're always high or always drunk! You can't even give me the courtesy of your undivided attention! And you're mad at me for not introducing you to people close to me when you act like a druggie?" Chaeyoung snapped.

Mina balled her hand and gritted her teeth. Chaeyoung really had the audacity. She spent her whole life being undermined by her peers, being told she'd be a drop out.

Being told she'd be everything she was afraid of. And because she turned into her worst fears, she was constantly being looked down on. She didn't need some closeted homosexual telling her what she was worth.

"Take me home now! I never want to see you or hear from you again!" Mina barked. Silence filled the car as Chaeyoung grew speechless. Mina was abandoning her.
