the smell of decaying bodies

"What are you thinking of?", Wooyoung asked cautiously, not sure if he should be scared by the older's smirk or just find it hot.

"I can take you to my living place for one night", San offered, studying the boy's nervous looking face.

"You make it sound like you're not living in a house, but in some kind of cave or something."

San chuckled lowly, genuinely finding the other's skepticism funny. "Well, not exactly a cave, but i like to spend the night in a tomb. I like to breathe in the smell of decaying bodies... ah, so refreshing." The man inhaled deeply to highlight his point.

"You're not funny", Wooyoung huffed with crossed arms and pouting lips.

"Oh, but it wasn't a joke baby. Do you not believe me?", San asked, acting serious.

The boy took a step back, now actually a little scared.

"I'm kidding, Woo. Don't worry, I'm neither living in a cave nor in a tomb", San clarified, feeling a little bad for scaring the younger boy off like this. Although, it was really funny to watch his reaction.

"I don't live alone though, I share the house with my brothers. They are really nice though, just a little... special sometimes, but I'm sure they're gonna like you."

Wooyoung seriously didn't know what to do. It was either stay out here in the cold and risking to die out of hypothermia or go with San and get a warm bed, but having to deal with his special - whatever that meant - brothers.

"If you're too scared to meet them though, I guess you have to stay here, darling", the man said, chuckling slightly.

That finally got Wooyoung to make a decision. He always accepted a challenge and now, he definitely wanted to show San that he was not scared. Not of him and especially not of his brothers.

Wooyoung yanked the second helmet out of the man's grip and violently pulled it back over his own head, then he walked towards the motorbike standing a few feet away from them.

"What? Are you coming or do you expect me to drive?", he yelled back over his shoulder.

San smirked. "Don't get too cocky, little one. You're getting nowhere with that."

Twenty minutes later, they arrived in front of a, to Wooyoung's relief, pretty normal looking house.

Nonetheless, he still walked a little slower than usual towards the entrance, letting San lead the way, but telling himself it was just because the man had the keys and not because he was scared.

Because he wasn't.

Obviously.

Not a single bit.

San opened the door and they both entered the dark hallway behind it.

"C-Could you turn on the lights please, San?"

"Ah, I forgot you can't see that well in the dark", the man mumbled. A second later, light illuminated the room they were in and Wooyoung immediately felt safer. The relief made him forget to question what San had just said.

He never really liked the dark. There could be dangers everywhere, but he wouldn't know because he didn't see them. It made him feel like losing control.

"Hwa, Jongho, I'm home", San yelled to no one in particular, but a minute later a man in all black - just like San - came down the stairs.

He was a little shorter than San, but built even wider. The muscles tensed under his shirt and he looked like he could knock Wooyoung out with just one simple touch. The mean and intimidating look on his face didn't help to ease the boy's nervousness.

Trying not to draw attention to himself, Wooyoung shuffled a little closer to San, for some reason feeling safe with him.

"Where's Hwa?", San asked his brother, looking a little confused. "He's never out this late at night."

"Said, he wants to go for a walk, but I don't believe him. Pretty sure he's meeting a new lady", Jongho stated, not changing his serious expression.

"Hwa and ladies? Are you this oblivious or just too straight to get that our lovely brother is anything but straight", San laughed.

"Real funny, hyung. Now, who's that little bean you brought with you? Didn't know we are adopting kids now."

"Hey! I'm not a kid", Wooyoung huffed angrily. Not as loud and confident as he had wished, though, so immediately regretted it.

"Oh, it can talk", Jongho said, the hint of a smirk pulling on the corners of his mouth.

"Let him be, Jongho. He's a friend of mine and I told he could stay the night here." Protectively, the man put an arm around Wooyoung and pulled him close.

"Ah, a friend, of course...", the other smirked fully now and winked at Wooyoung, before he excused himself to his room.

What was that supposed to mean?

"Are you tired?", San asked, looking down at the boy leaning against his side.

"Yes, to be honest..."

"Then come on, you can get some of my clothes to sleep in."

Wooyoung blushed lightly before quickly following the older upstairs into his room. It wasn't as big as he had expected, but to his surprise it actually looked a little like a cave in there.

The walls of San's room were painted pitch black, although one side consisted of one large window. Two lamps were standing left and right from the king sized bed in the middle of the room. However, the light was red.

Carefully, the boy stepped a little further into the room and only now, he noticed the big mirror hanging right above the bed on the ceiling.

What the fuck?! Am I in fifty shades of grey or what is happening here?

"N-Nice room", he stuttered, inwardly cursing at himself for sounding so childishly.

"Thanks, Wooyoung", San smiled knowingly before gesturing towards the closet on one wall. "Take whatever you feel comfortable in. On the right there's pants and on the left T-shirts and stuff like that. Sadly, I can't provide you with skirts or dresses, so I apologize if you wanted to wear any."

The boy's face got red at the thought. "I- I don't wear dresses or skirts... They are for girls", he said quickly, trying to sound disgusted.

"That's such a stupid rule. I bet you would look gorgeous in a skirt."

Wooyoung just shrugged and quickly started searching for something else to wear. San could still see how red the boy's ears had gotten and smirked inwardly.

Wooyoung decided for an oversized shirt. He would keep his boxers on of course, but the man's pants were all way too big for him, so he couldn't wear any of them.

"S-Should I change here, or...?"

I should apply for jobs.

But I'm too anxious to apply for jobs.

What should I do help? At least I finally updated my CV today. Took a new photo and added and changed former infos about me. It looks so professional now, I'm a little proud of myself. And also relieved because I got one step closer to actually applying for jobs. Now, that's really the last step I have to do🥹

Lately, I read somewhere that what you read in fanfiction or stories in general is what you want in a relationship or in your love life. And well... my daddy issues are calling, bye.
