After the war with Alvarez, Wendy hoped that things would go back to normal. But just as things were calming down, she gets sucked into a vortex and taken to a place called "The Land of Departure." There, she meets Terra, Aqua, Ventus, and Chirithy...
It was a rare rainy day in Magnolia, Wendy and Carla were running as fast as they could to their guild, Fairy Tail. As they neared the door, she heard the common shouts and brawls Fairy Tail had.
"It seems like some of the members are fighting again." Wendy chuckles.
"Probably Natsu and Gray bickering again." Carla stated with a scowl.
Wendy pushed the door open, revealing the happy faces of her guildmates. She then spots Natsu and Gray near the request board, fighting as Carly predicted.
"Oh Natsu, Gray." Wendy thinks to herself.
Then a certain scarlet-haired woman spots her and gives her infamous smile at Wendy.
"Hello, Wendy. You're right on time." She says calmly.
"Hmm?" Wendy replied, confused.
"The master said he wanted to show us something he found in the guild's storage room."
Just in time, Makarov Dreyar, Fairy Tail's guild master, appeared on the railing.
"Children! While I was cleaning out the guild's storage room, I found a treasure that has incredible power!" He shouted.
"TREASURE! NOW THIS IS GOING TO BE COOL!" Natsu shouts, pumping his fist in the air.
Makarov pulls out a gold key with a green vertex shape at the top.

"This is called a Portal key. Apparently, it can allow the user to travel to another world!"
"Another world?" Come on gramps, there's no way that's true." Gray said, boringly.
Wendy steps forward. "Come on Gray, maybe it's true. Master, may I see the key?"
Carla quickly flies in front of Wendy.
"Wendy No! It could be dangerous!" Carly exclaims with worry.
Wendy Looks at Carla and smiles. "It's ok Carla. I'll be fine." Wendy reassures her.
Makarov hands her the key. Suddenly, without warning, the head of the key glowed. A sweatdrop appeared on Makarov's forehead.
"WENDY! RELEASE IT! NOW!" He shouts.
Wendy tries to loosen her grip but to no avail. For the key was stuck in her hand. She begins to panic.
"IT WON'T COME OFF ME!" She shouts in fear.
Everyone begins to panic. Carla and Lucy try to yank the key off Wendy, only to have their paws/hands bruised.
"It's going to be ok Wendy! Even if you end up in another world, we'll find a way to find you and bring you back!" Lucy exclaims with tears in her eyes.
Wendy looked at them with tears in her eyes and nodded. Then, just like that, she vanished.
