It was beautiful outside. It wasn't too hot, nor was it unbearably cold. The sun was setting above them. They were walking along the lake in the neighbourhood, which was glistening. It was overall very beautiful scenery. However, Ran couldn't focus on the beauty of his surroundings. He was nervous. Extremely nervous to see what the future would bring for him.

"Tubbo, close your eyes," Ran said. As if that wasn't enough, he showed Tubbo a cloth to put over his eyes.

"Promise me you're not leading me to my death," Toby said with a lighthearted laugh. Ranboo flashed a big smile. Hesitantly, Tubbo nodded, and Ran started to put the cloth over the goat's bright green eyes. Ran knew exactly where to go. He grabbed Tubbo's hand and started to lead him. All Tubbo could do was listen and smell his surroundings. Eventually, he started to smell water. And flowers. As well as some kind of other worldly object.

"Are we where I think we are?" Toby asked, starting to flash his bright smile.

"Maybe, maybe not," Ran said, trying to hide the emotion in his voice. Tubbo giggled, for he knew Ran was up to something. It wasn't very often an enderman led a blindfolded half-goat, half-human through he didn't even know where!

"Okay, are you ready?" Ran said as he stopped them both where they stood.

"I don't even know where I am!" Tubbo chuckled. Ran took off the blindfold. As Tubbo examined his surroundings, he immediately knew where they were. The lake. The flowers. The nether portal.

"Th-This is where we first..."

"Michael. This is where we first brought him home."

"W-Well why would you bring me here?" Tubbo said as he locked eyes with Ran.

"Toby, we've been together for about a year now, and it's been magical," Tubbo started to blush, "no, really! I wouldn't change a thing about it. You're amazing and I would like to continue to be a part of your awesomeness."

"A-Are you saying wh-what I think you are?"

"Tobias James Smith," Ran got on one knee, "will you marry me?"

Tubbo put his hands over his mouth. Tears started to stream down his eyes. The ring was absolutely gorgeous, but not as gorgeous as the man presenting it.

"Yes, god yes!" Toby said, jumping onto Ranboo. They both tumbled back. Ran squealed as the tears touched his face. Tubbo quickly rolled to the side of his new fiancé and wiped the water off of his face. They sat underneath the sunlight for a while in silence, the shared joy being enough to speak between them.

"We should get home before the sun goes down," Ran said, his voice cracking.

"Okay, my love," Tubbo said, admiring the beauty next to him. Ran started blushing his bright purple blush. Toby started cackling as Ranboo slowly joined in a light-hearted chuckle.

"Alright. Let's go home."

"TECHNO, PUT THE KNIFE DOWN!!!!!!" Phil shouted at his son, who was currently chasing his little brother with a knife. He had to admit, Tommy's screams were kind of funny.

"You never let me have any fun, man," Techno said, slowly retreating back to the kitchen. Tommy poked his head around the corner. Techno's death stare was enough to get him to run back to his room. Tubbo and Ranboo burst into the door, hand-in-hand. Phil locked eyes with Ranboo, who gave him a slight thumbs-up, and a huge smile.

"Oh my goodness, congratulations, mate!"

"Heh?" Techno said, turning away from the stove to look at the couple. Tubbo was proudly showing off the ring to Phil. Techno looked at Ranboo. He gave a slight nod and returned to his cooking. Ran had the approval of The Blade! Could this day get any better?

"I KNEW IT!!!!" Tommy yelled, running out of the room to hug his best friend.

"Come here, mate," Phil said, bringing Ranboo in for a hug. The radiation of joy coming from the tall enderman was out of this world, and Phil could feel it.

"Food's ready," Techno said, moving the steak to a plate.

"Let's go eat, and then you guys can tell us everything!" Phil said, leading everyone to the table. Ran's life was finally going according to plan, for the first time in a long time. This could only go up from here, right?

-----------------------

It was dark. They'd just left Phil's house and started to drive back to their place. Ranboo offered to drive since he knew Tubbo was up far too late.

"Hey, can we talk?" the goat muttered after awhile.

"Of course, precious. Is something wrong?"

"Apparently. Tommy has some sort of parasite living inside of him, and it's giving him powers," Ranboo gripped the steering wheel tighter, "and he said the parasite told him that the person he got it from didn't deserve it," Tubbo sighed. He looked in his fiancé's direction, who was busy driving to look back.

"Is he okay?" was all Ranboo could manage to get out without snapping at his husband. Didn't deserve it? How could he say something like that?

"He said his feeling of power grows slightly everyday, but I don't know what that means," Tubbo said. Ran swore he could hear the gears in Toby's head turning rapidly. How could his power be getting stronger? Then it hit him. If he took the power from Wilbur, wouldn't he be draining it from him? Oh, Wil, Ranboo thought.

"Do you want me to do anything about it?" Ran asked in attempt to calm Tubbo.

"I mean, what can we do to help him? It's probably too late anyway if we could do something," Toby said, leaning further into his seat.

"I'm sure he'll be okay," Ran said, reaching his hand to Tubbo. They made eye contact for a brief moment, but it felt so much longer than that. Tubbo's heart raced at the beauty of his fiancé. He took a deep breath and started focusing on the road ahead of them.

"Is Michael asleep?" Tubbo questioned.

"Uh, it depends on who you left him with," Ranboo answered, chuckling slightly.

"I thought you got him a babysitter," Tubbo said, jerking his head towards Ran.

"You said you were going to do that!" Ran practically screamed.

"SO HE'S ALL ALONE?!?" Tubbo screamed, his hands starting to slightly shake.

"YOUR SEATBELT BETTER BE ON!!" Ranboo replied. He then heavily stepped on the gas to make it home before his son did something stupid.

"OH MY FUCKING GOD, RANBOO!!!"
