* * *December 1978
In the weeks that followed, Juliet tried to find out more about the Deathly Hallows and Xenophilius' quest, but she was disappointed when she wasn't told more about it.
She read the story over and over again without ever spotting anything that could hint to their actual existence. Something that made the fairytale less of a fairytale. But people weren't insane. They wouldn't go after the Deathly Hallows if there wasn't certain evidence they were real. Or would they?
Anyway, Juliet had just finished cleaning up the baby's stuff as she knew Amos and Daphne were terribly tired. She assumed everyone else in the house was asleep as there wasn't a sound whatsoever from the rooms.
Though as she was bringing a glass to the kitchen sink, a noise caught her attention, and she paused.
It was weird. It sounded like a gasp, a muffled one. Except, it did not sound like it came from behind a closed door. It was weirdly close.
She knew it wasn't Sirius because Sirius was crashing at the Lovegood's, having grown tired of the couch.
With a tilted head, she took a step back, turned slightly to the side, and raised her arm in front of her. Now, the action may have looked entirely stupid, even to her, so imagine her surprise when her fingers touched something hard.
She sighed. "James."
"How did you know?" He sticked his head out, now looking like a floating head.
"James, I could recognize you as a stag. Give me some credits." She rolled her eyes. "Also, you breathe obnoxiously loud."
James nodded awkwardly.
"What are you doing?"
Her twin seemed awfully quiet, looking as though he was trying to think of a lie. In that time, Juliet was able to look him up and down - well, as much as she could, he was still a floating head.
"James Fleamont Potter, are you naked?" She snorted.
"What? Pfft no." He denied.
"Prove it."
"Huh?"
"Take the cloak off."
"Uh."
"James, take it off." She reached to pull the cloak away by herself, but he struggled against her.
"Stop! Okay, fine! Yes, I am. Let's go now." James whispered.
"Why are you naked?" She chuckled.
"I... was... showering?" He fidgeted. "And forgot my clothes."
