"I can't die! Not when I stole this much!" A man thought to himself, running through the forest. In the air, he can hear the sounds of flying right above him only to see two blades coming right at him. A figure with white hair flew down, watching the man scream before it cut once the blades hit him. The white-haired man took his blades out of the thief's body, observing it. "Your Majesty, the bounty is finished. We can bring his body and the gold coins back." A man with red hair said as he flew down beside the white-haired man. "Well, let's go back then." the white-haired man said, carrying the body and heading back to the town.
Ryuuji's POV
~~~
We both returned to a nearby city, bringing the dead body along. We walked through the town and people began gathering around, whispering to each other. We walked over to the bounty office and walked in with everyone watching. "Here, we got him," I said, throwing his body on the floor. A clerk walked over and inspected his body. "Hm... Kill the thief who has stolen the money from the bank, find and return the money. This is him alright but what about the second part of the bounty?" the clerk asked, showing us the paper. "We got it," I said, opening my mana storage.
I took out bags that were full of gold coins and gave them to the clerk. "Here, all 2 million gold coins returned," I said, handing over the money. He checked all of the bags and returned them to the bank owner. "Alright then, here is your payment." He said, giving us magic-infested gemstones. "Thanks," I said, leaving with Xarion. Xarion was a close friend of mine, he's been helping me these past few centuries. I created a portal and we both walked back through it to the Kingdom of Mythyia. I landed on the castle floors and gave the crystals to Xarion. "Return them to the Gemstone Runes room. I'll be heading to my room to rest. It has been a long day. Send the soldiers to their stations and rest after you are done." I said as I walked to my bedroom.
I take off my coat and let myself fall onto my bed, taking in a deep breath. "It's been 256 years... and I still can't break it," I said, closing my eyes tiredly. I looked up towards the mirror, opening my shirt to see my curse. The damned curse. I was given this curse by a woman whom I don't even know, and yet she holds a grudge against me.
I turned and looked up at the moon, admiring its gleaming light. I think to myself of what I must do. I should meet with my father, and perhaps visit my beloved as well. After all, it is been a while since I met them both, and most likely they need my help. And help is what I shall give them. I kicked off my shoes and allowed myself to sleep, letting the moon shine through onto my bed.
The next morning, I got up and the maids came into my room and dressed me up. "Your Highness, are you planning on going anywhere?" the head maid asked. "Yes, I will visit my father and younger brother to check in on them. The Royals Assembly is coming along as well, me and Commander Xarion will go. Before we leave, I hope that you can inform the 10 honored knights beforehand." I asked her to do as I tied my hair. I styled it in a way I covered one of my eyes, feeling comfort in it. "Of course, your majesty. I shall. Great Commander Xarion is waiting for you outside." She said before leaving with the other maids.
They left and I walked out to meet Xarion right outside waiting. "What is it? You rarely wait outside of my room, especially this early in the morning. Is there something wrong?" I asked Xarion, walking over to him. "King Priay will be there this year, and because of this the Assembly will take place in a few days instead of next month," Xarion informed me, showing me the newspaper that he had found. I look at the headline, and it's extra large with a fancy font, which Priay must've wanted and suggested himself.
"I see... well what do you know? Don't get in a fight with your sister." I said, reading the rest of the paper. I looked lower and tried to see anything about my family. Luckily, nothing. That means they are safe. I folded the newspaper back up and sighed, giving it back to Xarion. "It's interesting he's choosing this year. All of the previous times he had come it was all during when it snowed. That must mean something is going on. Plus, those other royals must not be thinking of anything else about it but must be desperate for the attention of Priay..." I muttered, thinking to myself.
