Reason behind the Engagement

Sky and Rain reached the place where they regularly went to blow off some steam by dancing and drinking.

Sky - I don't think Phi is here.

Rain - Offo Sky, even though Phi is not here, the staff recognises us. I don't think it's a problem.

Sky - Okay let's go have some drinks.

Rain nodded his head. Both of them went to the bar counter and ordered their drinks.

Phai POV :

Phai and Phayu left the hotel where the engagement took place and left to the bar which is owned by Phai's friend.

Phayu - I dont understand why you agreed to this engagement when you both don't even like each other?

Phai - don't you know my dad? Do you expect me to go against him and get abandoned by him?

Phayu - Don't worry my dad and Pa can take care of one orphan.

Phai - Annoying.

Phai - I know uncle Vegas and uncle Pete can take care of me. But what about my Pa? And I have to live in the same house with my dad and your dad. They will wage war against each other.

Phayu - But what about Sky? What about his feelings? What about his future?

Phai - It's not like I hate Sky or anything. I just don't love him. He is a cute boy. But you already know that I have someone whom I love. Don't worry about Sky. I won't let anything affect him or his future. There is one month for our marriage, I think it's enough to make our parents cancel this business arrangement.

Phayu - Do you really think this marriage is just a business arrangement?

Phai - Think about it Phayu. Uncle Lian and my dad are like the oldest business partners. They have been partners for almost ten years. And out of the blue, my dad comes and announces about the engagement ceremony without even consulting me.

Phayu - then what are you going to do?

Phai - I don't know. But I made sure that Sky acts as I want.

Phayu - How can you be so sure ?

Phai - We made an agreement with contract. If anyone doesn't go according to the contract then have to face consequences.

Phayu - You mean you made a contract of marriage?

Phai - No a contract of engagement.

Phayu - What do you mean?

Phai - you remember the documents which asked you to get registered?

Phayu - Huh.

Phai - what do you think that papers are?

Phayu - May be some real estate related or business related?

Phai - No it's a contract between me and Sky. I meet Sky few days ago after dad announced the engagement.

Phayu - How did you find him?

Phai - I asked Uncle Kim. He helped me with Sky's details.

Phayu - How did you convince Sky?
