Chapter 4

Sunday

When we finally arrived, twenty minutes late we walked into the restaurant to find them arguing about something and since I had taken that hoodie off I was quite cold but Elle cleared her throat to let them know we were here, "ahem" she says and they all turn to look at us my dads face morphed to one of rage specifically towards me.

however I had been completely mesmerised by the blonde girl currently sat in the normally empty seat next to mine, "Jessica" I say barely above a whisper and she turns to face me, her face lights up as she jumps up and wraps me in the biggest hug.

Then she shoved me "where have you been I've been waiting for ages, I even texted you" she says, "I'm so sorry Jess I didn't even know you were back I don't have my phone at the minute and me and Elle went and got ice cream" I laugh in awe that she's actually stood in-front of me right now, "sounds like my Grace, come sit down we have so much to catch up on she says dragging my arm but not before Tyler pulls me back, "she will join you in a minute Jess but right now we have things to discuss" he says and she lets go of my arm, "can't we do this later?" I ask looking up at him with my pleading doe eyes, "fine but we will have this discussion about your behaviour sooner or later" he says sternly before motioning for me to go sit down.

and as I do tommy kicks my leg under the chair, "cut it out tommy" I whine and kick him back, "ow, dad" he complains whilst I smirk, "Grace stop kicking your brother right now" he said sternly, "but he kicked me first!" I defended myself, before tommy innocently looks over at dad before saying, "no i didn't", "liar" I mumbled underneath my breathe, "Grace I will not stand for your poor behaviour, apologise to your brother" He demanded, "what? But he-" I start before he cuts me off, "Apologise!" He shouts and I feel Jess put a hand on my arm as a sign of comfort, "I'm sorry" I say defeated.

it was so unfair, I hadn't even done anything, suddenly Elle came back from the bathroom, taking the seat to the other side of me. "What did I miss?" She whispers to me, and I look at her with tears forming in my eyes. "Grace?, what did I miss?", "Tommy lied and then Dad shouted at me for nothing" I tell her, "that little shit, don't bite Grace, only two days and he's gone and we can avoid home like the plague, the last thing you need is to get grounded now", she says before turning to Jess, "hi Jess, I know I haven't spoken to you yet but just wanted to say you've grown up beautifully" Jess blushed and muttered a small thank you.

Before the older boys came in probably from playing pool or something, I don't really know and I'm not particularly interested, "ah I see you two have finally arrived" Chase motions to us both his arms wrapped around the two boys beside him one of them being Ashton and the other being Jayden Cohen, Jessica's oldest brother and ironically Chase's best friend, her other brother Jack, is friends with Tommy but not Tom's best friend, that's Charlie Jones.
Anyway Jayden, He's 6'2 beautiful brown eyes and dirty blonde hair than could make any girl weak in the knees and Jack is just the same but he's only 5'10 and Jessica well she's 5'5 like me.

"Um excuse me care to explain what that was in the car and why your late?" Dean asks sitting down at the older table next to Tyler.

Since there were so many of us the older ones sat one one table whilst the younger ones sat on the other kind of like the adult and kids table you have at Christmas.

Dad, James & Jennifer (Mr&Mrs Cohen), Tyler, Dean, Ashton, Chase & Jayden we're on the adults table whilst Luke, Elle, Tommy, Jack, Jess & me where on the kids table.

I frantically look to Elle, oh no if he tells dad about everything that's happened I'll be in so much trouble, "what happened in the car?" Dad perked up, "nothing" Elle said way to quickly that I mentally face palmed myself.
