Wednesday
It was now time for the award presentation to find out who won the title of best school in sports , the point system worked like this;
First place got 10 points, Second place got 5, Third place got 3, and ofcourse anybody that ran the race but did not place got 1 point for contributing to their team.We sat patiently in the bleachers seeing as we had only just come back from the football I wasn't aware if my brothers had won their game or not but the overly large smiles on their cocky faces suggests that they did.
Me, Leia and Ruby sat at the very top of the bleachers in an attempt to hide from any prying eyes. In the opposite bleachers sat my brother Tommy and my friend Lillie Price who seemed to be a bit disappointed in her loss against our school to which my brother appears to be consoling her? Tommy? Never thought him to be the sensitive type.
On the other side of Tommy however stood Charlie, who looked to be scanning around for someone and entirely ignoring the fake, blonde bobo looking bitch infront of him. A sigh of relief left my lips to see he wasn't showing her any interest, but why was I bothered? He's the same guy who tried to drown me in a pool when I was eight not to mention he's my brothers best friend. I shouldn't feel anything towards him but I do I feel warm and comfortable but also like my skin would turn on fire if he came to close. But I was more focused on the absolute disgust and hatred I had for the girl currently trying to throw herself at him.
The host suddenly taps his microphone and loud thuds followed by 'settle down' and 'please take your seats could be heard' I watch as Charlie goes to sit down, the girl eagerly tries to sit on his lap but he shoves her off and she stomps away in a tantrum whilst my brother laughs beside him. The man begins to speak again 'I'd like to thank you all for coming out today, you've all contributed very well-' 'just tell us who won' someone screams from the stands cutting him off. 'Whilst the points are being counted we have the individual awards to give out..' The list went on as people collected their awards, I watched all my brothers go up to receive Atleast 1 award chase gaining like three, Elle even got one, it's done in age order meaning my year would be last to receive awards and I pray that my name does not come out of his mouth.
'Now for the under 15s track runners for the girls we have Grace Kingston with nearly a clean sweep, Romeo Miller and Leia Carson'
My heart pounded in my chest the pure look of shock wiped straight off my brothers usually smug faces, Elle looked over joyed and Lillie, Blake and Quinn were clapping for us as we made our way down to the stage to collect our awards. He carried on going through the list of rewards and people running up to receive them. One guy even slut dropped infront of the poor host I found it funny though. I kept getting glances from my brothers as if they'd seen an alien or something I was highly uncomfortable, Charlie however just smiled at me which I happily reciprocated.'If I could please have the winning soccer teams join me on the stage' he then says. Tommy looked at Lillie sadly before giving her a little hug and following our brothers up to the stage. I followed behind Leia as we made our way up to the stage. The medals were handed out to us. 'Now to announce the winners of this years field day' we were still all stood upon stage having not been dismissed yet. 'Now it was a close call but one of these teams won it for their school' he says and we all gasp turning to look at each other. ' and the winners for the first time in twenty years is Westwood high' we screamed, cheering and jumping all over each other.
Elle came down to receive the trophy giving our brothers the middle finger as she did so. Champagne bottles were open and sprayed everywhere, most likely by people sneaking it in but at this point no one cared, we'd won something we beat them.
