"Ouch!" Charlotte complained, she felt like her shoulder went numb. That was the first thing Tina did—slap one of Charlotte's shoulders with incredible force.
Charlotte anticipated that this would happen when Tina called again, and Charlotte finally answered. Tina said she was on her way, that's why Charlotte prepared for a bunch of sermons from her manager but not the hitting.
"Do you know how serious this is, Charlotte? MGT Entertainment and the paparazzi are contacting me nonstop. I don't even know what to say because you don't answer your phone!" Tina said.
Imagine Tina's panic when one of the producers of MGT Entertainment contacted her about Charlotte's schedule, asking if Charlotte could come to the company for a possible contract.
Like that was the power of Engfa Waraha, one word from her and Charlotte's dull career is starting to see light.
Her friend and also the one she manages is a freelance artist, Charlotte Austin just started her career with no label or entertainment to assist her, and Tina, being a management graduate, decided to manage her friend's career.
"Come on, Tina, she's busy processing all the happenings, we are talking about Engfa Waraha here." Heidi responded defensively before going to Charlotte's side to massage her best friend's shoulder.
"I called you too, Heidi, just so you know, and what's the point of your phones if you can't answer an urgent call?" Tina said, eyeing Heidi with annoyance.
Heidi, Charlotte's best friend and also her roommate, is useless at the moment. Tina thinks so, but she will never voice it out. Heidi might slap her back.
"I was just overwhelmed, and my phone was overflowing with notifications from my social media, I don't even know what to do first other than process things in my head."
"Contacting me should be the first thing you do, Anyway, let's move on," Tina said, and she finally calmed down.
"Now tell me, Charlotte Austin, how did you two meet?" Tina added that Heidi, feeling curious, also nodded with a question mark on their face.
How did the two even meet? As far as Heidi and Tina knew, the two never interacted with one another, not because they were in a bad state or anything, but because Engfa Waraha was out of their league. Charlotte is a rookie actress who's just starting to be part of the entertainment industry, and Engfa is way out of their reach, people who work with superstars are only superstars too.
Charlotte also wonders, Why her of all people? She can't believe that Engfa knows her at all, all she did was lend the actress her handkerchief a week ago.
"Shit! Shit!" Charlotte cursed two times, her eyes widening and her heartbeat accelerating.
"Hey Cha, what's happening?" Tina asked. Both Heidi and Tina looked at her. They heard the panic in Charlotte's voice, and they saw their friend holding her phone like something just came out of it.
"Engfa Waraha is calling me!" Charlotte shoved the phone in Tina's face.
