-Juliet-

I'm not going to lose her. I'm not going to lose her. I'm not going to lose her. I'm not going to lose her. I'm not going to lose her.

I chanted into my head. Rayne was one of the only people I couldn't live without. I couldn't risk losing her. She was so pretty and would do fine without me. But I depended on her. I always made her think that she was worthless and that she wouldn't be anything without me, so that she'll never leave me.

Never leave me. Those words echoed through my head.

I glanced across the room to see Rayne's back gradually rising and falling. Good, she's asleep.

I pretended to be mad at her all night. I honestly did feel bad when I heard her sobbing into Mammas arms, but what can I say? I'm losing her already.

She realized something very dangerous today. That boy told her that she's better off without me. He may not have said those exact words, but i could already see those words forming in her head.

.....

I woke up the next morning to see Raynes bed empty and her things scattered. It looked like she left in a rush.

Curiously, I crept downstairs, still in my T-shirt and shorts that I slept in the night before, and glanced around. No sign of Mamma or Rayne. Hmmm, I thought. Where could they be?

I peeked out the front window and noticed Mamma's car was gone. They must've went to the store or something.

After getting some cereal(Lucky Charms) to eat, I headed to the park alone, breaking Mammas rule.

When I got there, I was not surprised to see Zach standing my the same tree that I had climbed out of anger the day before.

He walked up to me an simply asked, "Where's Rayne?"

"Mind your own business," I replied.

He stared calmly at me. That was unnerving considering many people flinched when I talked to them.

"I've seen the way you treat her, you know." He stated.

"What have you been doing, stalking us?!?" My mind soared. Mamma never locked the doors.

"Uhh, I go to your school." He blinked.

I mentally slapped myself. How could I have not noticed him before. Probably because I only paid attention to Rayne. I always saw the pain in her eyes, longing to go hang out with the other kids, and always wanting to learn from the teacher. But I was afraid she'd leave me, so I tried to distract her from them.

"Juliet!" A new voice entered my mind.

I turned around to see Rayne running towards us. Speak of the Devil...

She looked very pretty today and was dressed up. Her blonde straight hair was being playfully blowed by the wind.

I forgot I was mad at her so I asked, "Where were you this morning?"

"Oh, Mamma and me decided to go to church this morning. Sorry we didn't wake you, you looked tired."

"O-Oh..." I was shocked. Mamma never brought us to church. Everywhere we went, was always as a family. Yay, I guess I'm no longer part of the family.

"Mamma said to call you home, Juliet. Sorry Zach. Gotta go. " She spoke softly, and her words reminded me of lace.

"See ya girls." Zach called after us as we walked home.

As we walked out of earshot of Zach, I immediately went to thinking about my plan of attack. I needed to get Rayne under my thump again. She can't leave me. Time to annhilate Zach.
