17 - Face To Face

- Jennie's POV -

I walked in the apartment, scanning around and noticing that none of the girls had came yet. I sat down on the couch and took a breath.

My eyes saw the laptop on the coffee table, i opened it up and turned it on. I wanted to kill time so i scrolled through the socials.

Not long until i came across a post that had me stop and read. "Lisa and Kaia dating?" I spoke out under my breath.

My eyes shot up to the bedroom doors, seeing Lisa step out and notice me. "Hey." She said while making her way to the fridge. "Hi." I spoke, putting the laptop away. My eyes stayed on her though. Seeing her pour a cup of juice.

The front door opened as Rosé and Jisoo came in chatting. "Listen, we just got the greatest idea about what to do tomorrow." Jisoo walked further in with such excitement.

"A drive to the beach with a meal right near it. You know the downtown beach that has the fancy restaurant right by?" Rosé explained, glancing at the both of us.

"I mean sure, it will be fun to pass the time before our performance in a few days." I replied from the couch. "I'm okay, i already have plans." Lisa added in after, taking a sip from her glass.

"What plans? Lisa, you already bailed on us last night on the meal and now, again?" Jisoo spoke directly at her. "It sounds fun. You three can go, live it all out but i'm gonna pass. Need to focus on my rehearsal as well for the solo song performance." She explained.

"Boring." I spoke out. "Will be if i'm there." Lisa added for my sentence but with a smile. I watched her walk back to her bedroom, closing the door behind.

"What are you up to now, Jen?" Jisoo came over, asking. "Well, wanted to watch a movie for a calm evening." I answered, taking the laptop back on my lap. "Great idea! I'm down for that." Rosé said.

"I'll go ask Lisa if she wants to join." I gave the laptop to Jisoo, standing up and walking over to her door.

I welcomed myself in, closing the door behind. I could hear the sink water on in the bathroom so i stood still, waiting for her to come out.

The towel in hand, brushing her face dry as she finally stepped out. Her small shirt showing a part of her abs made a spike go through my body.

"Can i help you?" She stopped and asked me. "Wanna watch a movie?" I immediately questioned to push myself away from awkwardness.

"Well-" She broke eye contact, grabbing her phone and taking a glance at it. "I guess i can join." Lisa finished the thought and looked back at me.

"Are you and Kaia for real?" I blurred the question out, regretting my decision immediately from how stupid it sounds.

"Excuse me?" She gave me a confused look. "The rumor." I added in. "Why does it matter to you?"

"We share everything in the group so?" I continued to get the answer out of her. "If you hadn't noticed, that has changed but mostly between the two of us."

"Lisa, why are you acting like that?" I looked directly in her eyes. "And who have you became Jennie? Because you are not the girl i fell in love with."

I already knew those words cut deep. I'm so cold towards her. I don't act the same nor was my decision expected about ending it with her.

"Watch your movie alone. I don't want to join." She said, walking beside her bed. "Lisa, i'm trying to make this better for us. It's painful to be around each other if we still love one another but-"

"I don't love you anymore! Stop bringing this love up between us. You found someone else and i'm happy for you but just stop!" She abruptly stopped me with her words.

We gave a second of just staring at one another. I was so guilty inside, i wanted to cry but either way, i left her room.

"Is everything okay?" Jisoo asked while looking at me. "I heard yelling, what happened?" Rosé added in. "Just got what i deserved." I forced up a smile, walking over to them.
