I latched onto his hands. As he was being dragged even further. He screamed in pain as I saw blood pool.
"Fuck." He screamed with his voice cracking. "Go get the gun!" He screamed as I saw tears run down his face. I got up and searched through the his bag. My snaky hands found there way to the gun. I quickly ran back down but that's when I heard a crash and the dock crashed downward almost making me fall. I saw the wood chunks float upward. Finn managed to get up a little. The water splashing made Finn visibly uncomfortable. "Damnit! Just shoot already!" His scream half broken. A vicious hiss was heard and a blood covered man dug his claws into Finn's side and he let out a blood curdling scream.
My hands shook as a I pulled the trigger. A glitched cry was heard before another scream over took that. I shot once more and the loud bang echoed. The sound of rips was audible as Finn screamed for help. I quickly managed to make my way towards him and that's when I heard a sound similar to when a massive tree fell. I glanced at Finn's face and a deafening scream bursted my eardrums.
"Call an ambulance!" He cried. I hurriedly try to make our way to the cottage.

"How is he, doc?" I asked the doctor coming out of the private room.
"He suffered incredible injuries and we managed to stop all the open wounds. We couldn't do much about his missing leg so we are giving him a prosthetic leg. We took some blood samples of his blood and we're surprised to see that an unknown DNA substance was found so whatever attacked him is still unknown." He said. I nodded.
"He should be awake now so when you visit him please be quiet." I nodded. My hearing also slightly recovering from the screams.
The doctor left and I entered his room. "Hey." I mumbled. Finn perked up.
"Hello, pretty boy." He mumbled.
"I am so sorry for what happened. It's all my fault. I should have never pushed you into going late night fishing.
He muttered to himself before smiling, "I'm just glad you aren't hurt." He mumbled.
"How the fuck are you okay?! Because of me, you almost died! How are you okay with that? I'm terrified! You must be traumatized!" I replied back.
"Look it's my fault for evening saying yes." He retorted. I gasped audibly. I could not believe him.
"Dude."
He hummed. I looked at him in disbelief.

Days passed since the attack and Siren was acting weird. He seemed to become distant which I found weird. The leg did cease our hunger for a while and we camped near the spot since the last attack hoping that we could get another chance. My brother looked at me. "You almost killed him." I looked back. So what? He glared at me. "The fuck?"
"Siren why are you acting like this? That happen days ago." I asked. "It's not like we can give him his leg back." He grunted.
"You let him go." He hissed, flaring his gills at me. I rolled my eyes. "That other thing, hit me with something hard that punctured my skin."
"Look I'll make a risk by going on land to scavenge for food since we are clearly dying with the lack of food. I'll come back later today with food." He said. He was the older of the two of us and could walk on land and so I nodded.
"Okay. I'll wait here and try to catch as well." I said. He nodded. Before swimming away.
