Reagan and Wren went back out scouting for boys and Levi went back to work. It was just me and my book for Professor Piper. I take the long way to where her classroom is, so I can create conversations in my head. I hope she isn't there. I hope I can just lay it on her desk and go. I don't want her to read it in front of me. My phone buzzed, and I saw that it was a text from Levi. He said he was getting off early from work, and he would be over by the house in an hour. I was in the middle of my reply when I completley bumped into someone. I looked up and saw the familiar face.
"Nick..." I said
"What? Not happy to see me?" He chuckled. I tried to walk past him, but he stopped me. "What's in your hand?" I shoved my short novel into my bag. "Nothing. I don't want it to be stolen from me!" I yelled. He froze, and had a genuine look of shock. "Cath..." he started, "I really didn't mean to do that! It was a great story we both worked on. Please forgive me." I didn't know what to say... I've never been in a situation like this... "I have to go." and with that, I ran off, not looking back.

I knock three short knocks on the door. No answer... I was in luck!
I opened the door, and Professor Piper wasn't at her desk. I slowly walked in wanting this to stay too good to be true. I got to her desk and started to lay it down... she still didn't appear. I set it down and ran. I started running so fast. I ran into her on the way out of the building. "My novel is on your desk!" I called out to her. and with that... I left.
