Alador kept groaning as Darius carried him to a nearby chair. It was deep and dark in the basement, and if Alador had kept groaning, not even a mouse would hear him.
"Erh," Alador groaned. "What happened?"
"Al!" Darius hugged him tightly before he started blushing. "What's the white stuff?"
Alador blushed, his whole face covered in light, peach red. "You don't need to know."
"Yes, I do," Darius grabbed onto Alador's shoulders and shook him, like last time. "Alador, tell me now."
"No, Darius, you don't need to know." Alador said as he took off his glasses, his brown eyes glimmering with a sharp contrast to Darius' green eyes. It was like the seas of the beach and an abundance of the yellow sands side-by-side.
"Well," Darius asked. "Why won't you tell me, Al? Are you hiding something from me?"
"I hide nothing from everyone I know," Alador confessed as he stood up straight. But still, Darius was taller. It just looked like a mouse standing up. Except they're on two legs all the time.
"I don't believe you," Darius squinted. "You're making it seem like you're hiding something."
"Let's just go upstairs," Alador requested. "The Abominations have made me exhausted."
Darius wiped the white off of Alador's pants and they returned upstairs to the dining room.
In the dining room, Amity and Luz were eating pizza bagels, brought back from Luz's human world, while Emira and Edric were lying on the couch, napping. It was just Luz and Amity sitting together, having their little lesbian time.
"There you are," Alador said. "Mittens, and the human."
"Luz," she said, awkwardly.
"Ah, Luz," Alador said. "I always tend to forget that name." Darius knew that Alador was lying; Alador would be learning how to pronounce Luz, because it was a simple three-letter name and it was similar to the word "loose". Every single day. So pronouncing her name wasn't hard.
"So, where are the twins?" Darius asked. "Are they asleep on the couch again?"
"They went to the couch when you went down the basement," Amity said, remembering what happened. "But, you can talk in a normal voice now. They are SUCH heavy sleepers."
"And I bet you are one too," Luz said, putting her arm around the profusely-blushing Amity. Ah, yes. The two of them continued and strengthened their little lesbian time.
"Ask Dad! He knows I snore so gracefully," Amity crossed her arms and looked at her father.
"What?" Alador said as if he forgot what had just happened. Amity grumbled but Luz fed her a bagel and the two of them were happy again.
"I'm tired," Alador grumbled as he rubbed his eyes. "Luz, you can stay here for the night if you want, but make sure to turn off the lights after you're done." Alador marched upstairs. "You too, Mittens."
"What he said," Darius said as he went upstairs behind Alador.
"Do you want to wake them up, Luz?" Amity asked, talking about Emira and Edric.
"No, hermosa, it's best if they get scared when they wake up," Luz said.
"Let's sneak upstairs quietly," Amity proposed. After they finished their pizza bagels, the two of them turned off the lights and tip-toed upstairs, while Emira and Edric were sleeping noisily.
For the first few times ever since splitting himself from Odalia, Alador slept alone. It was tiring, but it was quiet and rewarding. No heavy snoring, not even sleep-kicking. But Darius was someone who would sleep still. It was good for both of them.
"Do you think tomorrow will just be the same?" Darius asked as he got into bed.
"We'll just have to see," Alador calmly replied, as they settled into the bed. But Darius appeared next to him. "What's that one thing that couples do after marriage?"
"Why do you ask, Dar?" Alador said as he settled in.
Darius climbed on top of Alador. "Because I WANT TO DO IT WITH YOU!!" He blushed, turning away, feeling dejected, rejected, and so embarrassed.
Alador blushed a little, but it wasn't a casual blush. He blushed so much that some of it was on his neck. He started to sweat profusely.
They both started to sweat profusely. "I-I mean, why would I say no?"
"So is that a yes?" Darius sat on the bed, all red. He was sweating everywhere, and it was so unusual for him, because Darius had never sweated a lot like that before.
"I'll think about it," Alador said, sleepy. "But it isn't a no."
Darius had a great night, knowing that it was a guarantee that he would be getting it tomorrow.
