Chapter 3

A week has passed by since my date with Christian in Hogsmeade. It was amazing we had so much fun and he surprised me with a ruby necklace and a bouquet of roses.

We hang out together nearly all the time now and he asked me to be his girlfriend today. I feel over the moon he's really sweet and charming.

I enter my potions class and find my new assigned seat. " Attention everyone. I will be calling your names in pairs and each pair will be partners for the rest of the school year." Professor Snape says in a tight voice.

I hope I don't end up with Malfoy like last time because these past two days he has been intolerable.

"Miss Katarina and Mr. Mattheo Riddle, you two will be working together for the rest of the year." I sigh in relief that I'm free of sitting next to Malfoy. I grab my stuff and sit next to Mattheo.

" Hi Kat," he says. He looks extremely tired lately.

" Have you been getting any sleep, you look- tired."

"Why do you care darling, does it bother you?" I smile and roll my eyes at his remark. "No it doesn't, I hope you get nightmares tonight." He smiles at that then his face drops back to his original death stare.

Geez I wonder what made him this grumpy.

We work together on our assignment in silence then after class, I head straight to the common room to relax and read a book. " There you are, I was looking for you," Pansy says sitting next to me. " How is it going with Christian I heard you two are dating now." I nod, smiling at her "Yeah, he asked me to be his girlfriend today.

" I smile even more at the thought. " What are you wearing to the Halloween party this weekend? I need to go shopping for a dress I have nothing to wear."

" well same so we're gonna go together" I nod at her response. " Pansy, Kat how was your day?" Blaise says sitting across from us on a couch.

" mine was decent, Proffesor snape is seriously fucking me in the ass with all the potions assignments, but Kat over here had an amazing one let me tell you she's taken now." We laugh at her response.

" Well says you, actually where is Theo I bet he misses his girlfriend already."

"Yeah no we're not dating." Pansy says "But you're fucking" Blaise replies.

I snort at that then my smile drops as soon as I spot Malfoy entering the Common room with blood on his knuckles and both Theodore and Mattheo after him. " Woah Malfoy, who did you kill?" Blaise says jokingly.

Pansy and I share confused looks as they head toward us and sit on the couches. " Theo, what happened?" Pansy questions.

" Malfoy got into a fistfight with Christian." I feel my blood freezing in my veins at Theo's remark. " what? Why?" Pansy says, looking at me concerned.

" I glare at Malfoy then I head to the Hufflepuff common room. On my way out Malfoy yells at me "Enjoy the sight mudblood."

"suck it up ferret." I am fuming, my hands are shaking with the anger lingering in my body. I meet up with Christian near his common room, his nose still bleeding " Merlin's beard, what was the reason?"

He smiles at me even though his nose is probably broken. " Ferret guy got the news that I asked you to be your boyfriend and got jealous."

" He's a dickhead." I kiss his nose, blood coating my lips, he grabs my face tightly, smashing our lips together roughly. I pull away fighting for air and he smiles down at me, his Adam's apple going up then down,

I wanna cut it out of him.

" I'll gladly let you do that baby." My eyes widened at his remark. " Get out of my head you freak." I say laughing nervously.
