A full week has passed since my initiation to become a death eater. I have been working on my given task but have had no success.
Today I got an owl from my father ordering me to meet him in Hogsmeade at 9 p.m. sharp. He also asked me to dress nicely.
I have been spending more time with Mattheo than I intended, especially yesterday when I was in his dorm working on a potion paper that was due this morning. He is smart, but an ass. He's very rude to everyone.
I skipped lunch since I'm not looking forward to meeting anyone. On my way to the Slytherin common room, I stumble upon none other than Christian. I haven't seen him since he was in the hospital. When I used to see him before, I felt happy and excited, but now I feel nothing.
Not even grieve that he basically ghosted me, but I can't blame him. Malfoy is a crazy maniac, and he's probably still on his head, telling him not to approach me. I prove myself wrong when I see Christian making out with a ravenclaw girl. I feel angry at myself for liking him before, but I'm still not jealous, even though we technically weren't broken up because he asked me for a break.
I didn't care about him anymore, so maybe I should just return the favor. Christian spots me passing by him without a glance, worried he calls my name, but I don't even bother acknowledging his existence like he's not there.

While in Hogsmeade, I reunited once again with my father. He is always dressed to impress. He always looks good, and it makes me mad since he's nothing like the way he looks; he's a monster. But maybe all monsters are dressed in overpriced suits that could feed half a village.
Not to mention the family heirloom ring he has on that probably costs a left arm and a kidney. I look down at my outfit, feeling self-conscious, as my father sizes me up and down with his usual disappointment look he used on me when I was a child.
I'm dressed in black from head to toe. I wore slightly loose dress pants, a turtleneck, a blazer that hugs my curves perfectly, enhancing their look, and finally a black pair of Louboutin heels.
"We have to apparate to the Malfoy Manor; there's a meeting being held at 9:10. We have to be there on time," my father says as a matter of fact.
"Why does the dark lord always choose the Malfoy manor?" Doesn't he have his own fortune and place?" I question my father, confused and worried, because I don't want to meet Malfoy. I have been avoiding him like the plague ever since our last encounter in the common room, right after I got initiated. He made me feel things I'm afraid to experience, especially with him. The last thing I want is to develop feelings for a monster like him.
He still has my pink ribbon hair tie; it's my favorite, and I'm going to have to steal it back from him.
"That's none of your concern, Katarina; now shut up and let's go," my father spat at me, growing annoyed. He puts out his arm for me to grab, and in a few seconds, we're standing in the Malfoy Estates. There aren't many people here tonight, and for some reason the manor is freezing to the point where there's fog coming out of my mouth when I exhale.
Entering the dining room, where there's a long table filled with death eaters, I sit next to the empty seat that Mattheo was sitting in. He looks at me up and down and doesn't say a word, not even a greeting.
Weird.
I ignore him and start examining the room, bored, waiting for the dark lord to arrive. I spot Malfoy, and both his parents enter the room. He takes the seat right across from me. Blood freezes in my veins at the sight of him.
