Joella's perspective:
I quickly shifted my focus from Erin's lips to her eyes and back to her mouth as she started to speak, "I think things are going well, thank you for everything Joella", "Don't thank me, it's a team effort" I shot back with a smile. "Hmm well, i'm actually supposed to be going to my parents' place today for a gathering we're having and i'll probably stay there, at a hotel for a couple nights, do you want to come with?" she told, "Really?", "Yeah definitely! I would love more than anything to have you there" she said giving me a soft smile. The glitter in her eyes is back. "Well then I would love to come" I responded with glee.
Maybe it's too soon, but apart from getting Leron and Fred together, we really haven't been talking about US at all. I really wish we would because this is definitely not going away for me. She's put a spell on my heart, it sounds cheesy, but I mean it. She's so perfect in every way: she lets out little snorts when she laughs, she looks more than she speaks (a true observer), she has 2 little beauty marks spread across her face, her voice makes me feel alive and at rest at the same time. How is this happening?
I packed a bag and we sat in a taxi. As she put her sunglasses on, she told the driver we're going to the airport. Hold on, I wasn't told of this, I thought her parents lived in Brooklyn or at least New Jersey. Turns out, they live in Paris.
We got on the flight and I learnt that she wasn't always completely confident with flying. I gripped her hand as we took off and landed. Overall, I would say the flying experience with her was wonderful. I think you knew I'd say that.
As we landed in the city of love, I noticed Erin hold my hand tight and run to the collection area to meet two people, a man with grey dreadlocks and a grey beard down to his neck. He was wearing a faded red AC/DC t shirt with beige shorts; trying to look 20 years younger than he actually was. He stood next to a woman, about a foot shorter than him. She was wearing a blue and yellow paisley embroidered dress down to her shins, and her head covered with luscious dusky grey braids and a yellow bandana to match the elephants on her dress. I knew they were Erin's parens immediately. Both of them grinned wider than Lea Michele when she landed Fanny Brice in Funny girl, as they took Erin in their arms and showered her with words of love. They seemed like a really nice and happy family, all the conflict Erin told me they have, seemed unbelievable at that moment.
How long would this be perfect for?
