Arin

My heart thundered inside my chest at his words. My arms coiled around him, wailing onto his shoulder.

The day since my heart broke, I'd never imagined I'd feel happy. Or healed. There was something in the magical words of confession that glued back my broken heart.

"I love you, Arin."

Roger's lips traced mine as soon as he said what I'd always longed to hear. His tongue slid into my mouth, extracting a moan so soft, he broke our kiss to look at me.

"I can't stop saying it," he whispered over my cheeks, sliding onto the taut muscle near my neck. "I love you, my babydoll."

My eyes brimmed, chest felt full. My fingers slid into the back of his hair, arresting him from dipping low.

"I love you, Roger." A whisper. A prayer. And everything in between. "I love you a lot."

Without wasting a moment, he picked me up and carried me back to the bed.

Slanting his body over, he dipped me into the mattress. The warmth of his body and his lingering gaze hovered over me. It tempted me further.

I wanted Roger. I wanted him like a man lost at a dessert, craving for a drop of water.

"Babydoll. There are so many things I want to do with you." His warm gaze slid over my plump lips. His throat bobbed. "So many things I've dreamt of since the day I'd spoken to you on the call."

My nether heated at his words, drenching my panty. I badly wanted to kiss Roger. I'd wanted so many more things from him. I also knew the Babydoll on the call was different from the Arin he'd seen and spoken to in reality.

Apprehension braided into my spine. My words cemented over my lips, refusing to escape.

Roger must have read my expressions. He slid over my side, cold knuckles tracing my jawline.

"We can take it slow, love," he said, smiling. "I just said what I'd always wanted to tell you."

"I know." I turned to face him, partly nesting my face into the crook of his next. "I know what you want. And as much as I hope to... you know..." I looked up. My mouth dried. "Roger, I've to tell you something."

With bridged eyebrows, he nodded. "What is it?"

"I'm kinda...you know...I mean over the call and all it goes unnoticed but-"

"You're a virgin!"

The moment he said it, I palmed my face, coiling my body. "Yes."

"Look at me, Babydoll..."

I didn't. I couldn't. The shade of shame painted on my face didn't allow me.

Roger gently held my wrists, separating the hand-held cage over my face.

"I want you to look at me."

Slowly, my eyes slid up, gazing at him. His smiling face, wide eyes and a look that whispered he partly loved what I'd said and partly concerned, decorated his face.

"I love you, Arin," he whispered. "And I love that you took the courage to tell me. I know it can't be easy. Also..." He tipped my face up and whispered. "I have always known."

"How?" I bolted up on the bed. "How did you know?"

"The way you've always been shy on calls. Or the way you've expressed yourself. I mean it when I say that I can tell when people lie." He pulled me closer. "I can also tell when a woman fakes her orgasms."
