Chapter 9: Sophie

I sat up, wiping the sweat off my forehead.

it was only a dream. 

in fact it was one of my worst nightmares. 

i shivered, immediatly wanting to know where Keefe was. he wasn't in the chair beside my bed so i assumed he went home. so i tried hailing him. out of range appeared on the screen. i panicked, what if he ran off to join the neverseen again?!?!? what if he disapeared? or got kidnapped? at some point during my mental spiral downwards, Grady came in the room along with Elwin. i didn't even notice them until Grady spoke.

"Sophie? are you ok? we heard you screaming from downstairs and when Edaline came to check on you she reported that you were thrashing, which may have set your healing back a few days," He said, looking very concerned.

"Yeah, um- i'm fine, just had a really bad dream, thats all." i replied, trying to wipe the tears off my face.

"what was your dream?" Elwin asked.

"oh nothing, just the usual neverseen attacking my friends and hurting them." i was NOT a good liar.

"thats it?" Grady raised an eyebrow.

"Yep! im perfectly fine now!" i smiled, but it turned into a wince.

Alright, well, if thats it- we'll let you rest." Elwin smiled, but as they left the room i heard him whisper to Grady: "Get Fitz, i want him to moniter Sophie's dreams"

i wanted to scream. no no no, please don't get Fitz, Please, Please Please!!  i thought.

"ok, I'll hail him and Alden right now." Grady whisper-replied.

NO!  Grady stopped abruptly and turned back towards me. 

"why don't you want Fitz to come over Sophie?" He asked supisciously 

Whoops. must've transmitted.

"because i- he-, erm... he's still a little sensitive about me and Keefe and most of my dreams are about.. uh... Keefe, so i don't want him to feel hurt and not talk to me." i finished in a rush, my face going nuclear.

Elwin smirked, "So you and The Keefster a thing now huh?" he asked.

"yes." i whispered.
