"so... im supposed to look at your recent memories and make sure nothing bad happened thats traumatizing her beyond belief?" Fitz asked.
"pretty much." Elwin responds, darting a glance at me. "you ready Sophie?"
"yeah, i guess so..."
Fitz narrowed his eyes at me. "okay... do i have permission to enter your mind?"
She nodded. he strode over and placed to fingers on her temples. she cringed.
Fitz broke away a few moments later, looking pale and sweaty.
"what happened Fitz?" Sophie asked, dread coursing through her veins.
He shook his head. "yo-you really kissed Keefe?! but- you-YOU DIDNT EVEN KISS ME!! HOW COULD YOU SOPHIE? i honestly thought we could be something special..." his voice dropped to a whisper.
"fitz- let me explain-" she tried, but he cut her off.
"no, you don't need to explain, you've done enough." he stormed out of the room.
"well- that didn't go well. at all." Elwin said, shaking his head.
"you don't say." she responded
Sophie cried out and crumpled to the ground, clutching her head.
"SOPHIE!!!!" Elwin screamed. He picked her up and carried her to her bed. he flashed colored lights around her head, frantically searching his medicine bag to help ease the pain.
Sophie screamed repeatedly, drawing Edaline and Grady into the room. they rushed over to Sophie and held her, trying to stop her cries of pain.
when Sophie's cries had faded to whimpers Elwin spoke. "Sophie.. what was tha-" in the middle of his sentence, a small brown furry thing came walking into the room. He crawled up beside Sophie and layed on her chest.
Elwin paled. "why is Bullhorn here.. unless," he stopped. "Sophie, you are in mortal danger."
i wont even deny it. that was evil of me. i am sorry, but i had to.
