Just saying, some of the characters have superpowers. Yup. First off, there's metahumans. Metahumans are literally humans born with superpowers.
Secondly, some of characters can summon an element from their hands, which they use as an attack. This ability is called powerhand, and the element a character can use is called power hand. For example, a character with the powerhand who can shoot ice from their hands has frosthand, and a character who can shoot ice from their hands has flamehand. This ability can inherited, and it is not possible for a character to learn or obtain this power.
There are shapeshifters. A shapeshifter can usually transform into one or two particular things and these forms are called thing they can transform into eye. For example, the form of a dragon called dragon eye. Forms have taken on this name because, in order to shift, a shapeshifter must envision their desired shape in their mind's eye, and will themselves to shift into it. This ability can be inherited, but unlike the powerhand, can also be obtained at any point, if someone is born without shapeshifting abilities, then they still obtain them later in life. Unfortunately, the only method of doing so is gruesome, and many would not.
In order to obtain shapeshifting if not born with it, one must kill a member of their family. In addition, this only works if shapeshifting is in the family's blood. For example, if a sibling or parent is a shapeshifter. However, it is not required that the person killed has shapeshifting, as long as it's somewhere in the family's blood. After killing a family member, the person will transform into their new shape immediately, and may swap back to the human whenever they wish to.
