Rexs POV

After four hours if watching the med trooper do various tests and treatments on Ahsoka she was released from the treatment room and the general and I accompanied her to her room. One on either side of her bed. Anakin carried a bag containing Ashokas light sabers and cloths they had brought from off Naboo. After we had settled in her room I sat on the ground and started cleaning my blaster pistols. But from the corner of my eye I saw the general take a blanket and a slim silk shirt from the bag and pull her up into him to put the shirt on her. Laying her back down he tucked the blanket over her and kissed her.

"Rex watch Ahsoka. I have some business to attend to I should be back in no more than two rotations"

"Yes sir, do you need a squadron?"

"No this will be solo recon mission for me to clear my head"

"Yes sir"

He left and I got up to sit by Ahsoka. I turned on my comm.

"Ct4473, bring up a sleeping pad to recovery room 466."

"Yes captain. I will be there momentarily"

I sighed and relaxed. Haywire arrived less than five minutes later with my pad. I nodded to him and he resumed going about his duties. I rolled the mat out on the ground at the Base of Ahsokas bed and latex down falling asleep immediately.

Ahsokas POV

I opened my eyes only to close them at the bright lights. My head was pounding. It hurt. Bad. I let my eyes adjust to the lighting. I was in a hospital room. How'd I get here? A minute ago I was fighting Dooku with Anakin and Obi wan I can't remember if we won though it was all fuzzy. I lifted my right hand to rub my head. IV and other fluid lines were attached there. I tried to sit myself up. Pain tore though my body as I tried to move. I let out a scream. Everything went black. I woke once more to Rex standing over me one of his hands gripping mine and the other one clutching the side of the bed. He noticed my consiousness.

"Ahsoka...commander we weren't so sure you would pull through. it was a pretty nasty blow the count delt you.

I managed a small smile.

"The boys are taking good care of you. They have completely imobilized and numbed your arm as it heals you will get treatment to help the bone to grow together in under a week. Now for your burns or whatever they are that's another story. We don't know how to treat those yet."

"A....ahh...Anakin?"

I managed. For a split second I thought I saw disappointment and hurt flash across Rexes face. He did well to cover it up fast though.

"The general is off on a recon mission. Won't be back for another rotation"

he said letting go of my hand. He assisted the other troopers in administering pain killers and fluids into my blood stream. I started being able to be a bit more mobile without pain. The med troopers left satisfied with their work. Rex stayed and talked with me for a bit until he stair up fell asleep. After a while dispite my determination to resist it I did also.

Anakins POV

After 36 laps around Cristophisis I finally wasn't so pissed off anymore. My breathing slowed and I went through a series of battle evasive and defensive maneuvers. Then my comm cracked and I handed the controls over to R2.

"Skywalker here!"

I said turning my comm channel on.

"General! The Commander has woken up and has requested to see you sir"

I recognized the voice. it was Rex.

"Thank you rex I will be there within the hour. Inform me if her condition changes!"

"Yes sir!"

He responded ending the comm with some static. I was so relieved to hear that Ahsoka was ok. I couldn't wait to get her back to our vacation on Naboo. My comm cracked again by this time I was a bit agitated but I let the call come through knowing that if it was Kenobi I would be in trouble for not answering it unless I was dead.  Master Windu showed up on the hollow projector.

"Skywalker I need you to relay a message to Kenobi."

"Yes sir! Kenobi is halfway across the galaxy On Coruscant. What could he give you help that I couldnt."

" I wasnt aware that you completed you mission."

"Yes sir. We captured the count and obi wan escorted him to the Citadel."

"I see. Well we have discovered that Maul fojnd out that Dukoo was taken captive and has killed general greivious."

"So he is the soul leader of the droid army"

"Precisely we must take him out but we think that he is on mandalor. We must inform them of his arrival and advise them to lock down the city."

Just then a transmission from master plo coon interrupted our conversation. It was only a recording but he was fighting and so it was hard to hear him.

"We have found the data base the holds all the commanding orders for the droid army. We request help if we can shut down or relay information from this tower to the republic we will have the codes to shut down and reprogram the entire droid army."

The transmission dissolved. And left windu and me.

"send this message out to the rest of the jedi tell the to leave three jedi at the temple and two with the chancellor the rest will be split between master plos mission and capturing maul. If all succeeds the war will be over within the week"

"Very good master."

I replied as his transmission faded.

"R2 set a course for the med station."

Finally I thought to myself as we jumped into hyperspace I came confess my love for Ahsoka and the war will be over we could have kids and not worry about them getting hurt. The war would be over the war had started when I was a boy a padawan under obi wan. Ahsoka on the other hand had know nothing but war. We would change the galaxy together
