"She died in the other room. On that bed in there. Nothing I could do. That fever. Her skin gave off heat like a furnace. I should have put her down. I know that. But. I didn't have it in me. The mother of my child." Morgan tells Lexa and i
And it's clear that he hates himself for it.

[Lexa's Pov]

I decided to put my input in as I see Duane cry himself to sleep.

"If you don't mind me butting my input. I know you must hate yourself and I know it must be hard for you. I can do it for you. I don't think that this is something you should do." I say with a gentle and comforting tone.

He gave me a look of Horror but also understanding.

"I would like that. But can I think about it?" He says with a sad smile.

"Of course but Rick and I will be leaving tomorrow. And I would like for you and your son to come. It's better to be in a group." I say with seriousness.

He looks like he wants to say some but I beat him to it.

"We have supplies and tomorrow I and Rick are going to clear the police station. So think of your decision with this in mind." I say with seriousness.

All I get is a nod in return and he heads off to go to sleep. Rick and I head back to sleep as well.

[Next Morning]

The street is mostly deserted now. There's one walker, male, sitting on the curb, slumped against a telephone pole in a torpor state common to their behavior, like a deep stupor. Also, a body in the street another walker, for-real dead, a smaller female, torn apart and eaten.

That's what we see when Rick and Morgan and I cautiously emerge out of the house trailed by Duane. None of us got much sleep last night. Rick has his knife, keeping his voice down, eyeing
the walker slumped on the curb.

Without pause, Rick hauls off and splits its skull with a few brutal blows of the bat. The walker collapses, twitches at his feet, and goes still. Rick starts breathing hard then pauses in shock at what he just did.

As we make our way to Rick's house once again to find anything useful. I turn to Morgan and say.

"We have two cars full of supplies. You should come with us. We will need another driver." I say full of seriousness.

"Yeah, I wanted to talk to you about that. I talked to my boy this morning and we decided to go with you guys." He says with a gentle smile as he looks at me.

"Good do you have a car? If not you can use the truck and Rick can drive the van. Because if we're being honest I don't like driving." I say trying to lighten the mood.

I get a chuckle from Rick and Morgan. Then Duane looks at me confused then says.

"Ma'am I think driving a car is cool. Are you sure you're not just lazy?" He says with all seriousness.

Rick and Morgan can't help themselves and burst out laughing. While I'm just looking at Duane shocked he would say that.

"Okay yeah, you caught me I am just lazy. Don't get to laugh about it guys." I say with a pout. Then turn to Rick and say.
