With nothing more to say we all get in the cars and go our separate ways. With a final wave from Duane. Rick and I start to make our way to Atlanta.

[Lexa's Pov]

I sit in the passenger seat as Rick travels up the highway under a blazing blue sky past fields and farms.

I watch as Rick at the wheel, speaking into his radio handset" broadcasting on the emergency band ... traveling on highway 85 ... anyone out there ...anyone hear my voice, come back." He says.

We wait... no response. He's been at this a while. I know they can hear but the signal is bad on someone's side. I glance at the dial the needle dipping low. We are going to have to stop soon.

While Rick keeps trying the radio.

"Hello, hello, can anybody hear my voice."

[Atlanta Groups camp]

Smoke is drifting from a campfire. Amy stops, eyes going wide, as they hear.

"Anyone out there ... can anyone hear me .. . please respond," Rick says

Amy drops her wood and comes running. Amy grabs the handset, and toggles.

"Hey! Hello?" Amy says.

"Hello ... can you hear my voice," Rick says.

A few others are gathering to listen.

"Yes, I can hear you! You're coming through! Over!" Amy yells through the radio.

[Lexa's Pov]

I watch as Rick hears nothing but crackles and static.

"broadcasting on emergency channel ... traveling on highway 85 . . . if anybody reads, please respond," Rick says once again hoping to get a response.

[Atlanta Groups camp]

"Yes! Yes, I'm reading you!" Amy says.

She tweaks the dial, trying to clear the signal, but Rick's voice is breaking up:

"Hello--anybo--rgency band-- aveling on highw--" Rick says

"My name is Amy! We're here just outside the--" Amy tries to say.

She loses the signal in a storm of static.

"Damn it." Amy curses.

She keeps tweaking the knob, trying to get the signal back, toggling.

"Hello? Hello?" Amy tries again.

[Lexa's Pov]

I watch as Rick gives up. And clicks off the radio. He Gazes ahead one eye on the gas gauge. Looking tired I ask him.

"I can drive if you tried. You must be You've been driving all day. Here drink some water." I say with worry in my voice.

We see a farm up the road the same farm from the first episode. We drive up and then get out. I watch as Rick is at the window, peering in, face grim.
