TW: Panic Attack (kinda) and Smut
—————————————————————————
Sarah comes over everyday for the next two weeks to make dinner and hang out with John B, just keeping him company. The whole time she thinks about how much she enjoys being around him.He makes her laugh in ways no one else can. He's sweet and caring, he isn't scared of being vulnerable with her. Being with him feels easy and natural, it's almost like she doesn't even have to try to talk.
They can just sit in silence with each other. Or talk and laugh about nothing and everything. They can even cry together about their pasts. Everything is just so easy. Like brush strokes on canvas. Seamlessly flowing creating something beautiful.
Today is a normal day, Sarah is on her way over to John B's house, but he isn't replying to her texts. She is starting to get nervous but she heads over anyway. She knocks on his door over and over. No answer. She tries the door handle, just to see that it's open.
She walks in his house and hears what sounds like crying. She feels awful now. She gently walks into his room to see him crying and shaking on his bed. She sits down next to him and gives him a hug. Not a word has been said.
He hugs her back but barely, she doesn't care, just hugs him harder. Which makes him sob more. She has come to the conclusion that he is having a panic attack based on the fact that he hasn't said a word and can barely breathe.
"Hey you're okay. You're safe. I got you." She didn't know if it was the right thing to say but it felt right. She just kept holding him until he could speak again and his tears stopped.
Her shoulder was soaked in his tears but she didn't mind. All she cared about was the fact that John B was okay.
"Thank you." He says
"Of course, Did you think I would've just left you alone?"
"Well no, but, it's just that, through all the panic attacks in my life, no one has really been there for me. At least not in the way I need. You were. I... I.. uh.. Nevermind"
"I'm sorry John B. But I'm glad I could be there for you." she says, curious about what he was going to say. "Do you want to go do something? Get out of the house for a little bit."
"Why don't we go swimming." He suggests
"I want to, but I don't even have a swimsuit with me."
"Your point?" he replies with a smirk "kidding," he says seeing Sarah's shocked face.
"But seriously don't worry about it, I have a few of Kie's shes left here" That last comment leaves Sarah with a pang of jealousy. She knows they are friends but still she doesn't like that he has her clothes.
"Oh well thank you I suppose." she says, trying not to let her jealousy seep through.
"Sarah, you know all my friends leave clothes here, seriously, the kid with absent parents is the prime location for sleepovers, and with the stupid things they do they are forgetful in the mornings to say the least." The fact that he picked up on her feelings so quickly caught her off guard. "Also, Kie and JJ are a thing, so don't worry"
"I wasn't jealous." She tries to defend herself.
"Uh huh." He says smirking and turns around to go to the drawer of his friend's clothes.
In a few minutes they're both changed and they made their way outside. Pretty immediately John B gets in the water.
"Is it cold?" Sarah asks
"Cmere!" He replies
When she gets to the water, John B is holding out his hand. She knows from having a brother that he is going to pull her in the water, but she doesn't mind.
