FORGOTTEN - 12

The sudden burst of joy Allera felt after Luca had invited her to go to her first fine dining without her parents. Her first ever date, no wonder she was this excited. She had picked out a red cute dress and bought some new shoes just for this night. Allera had a closet exclusive to only shoes and heels for every different occasion.

Not going out, running, school, or house wear. More of a Luca's birthday, to the mall, to the gym, to go running with Amelia, to go to Lucy's birthday, thanksgiving. The point of this is that she got a gazillion shoes and each represents a memory.

"You look..." He hung his words, eyeing Allera up and down, savoring every look.

'What? beautiful, amazing, pretty, magnificent, phenomenal, gorgeous? What?! WHAT!?' Allera thought.

"hot"

Allera grew smiled, she thought again 'Better than what I had thought'.

"You look hot too."

She giggled through her teeth. Even though they're only 15, maybe it's the privileged, white rich nepo baby. But Luca was allowed to drive. The 15-year-old raging hormone is part of the canon event of this love story.

"I have no idea what he was thinking", I slam the cup of coffee on the table in front of me.

Tiana is sitting on her phone listening to me screaming and shouting about my encounter 2 days ago with Luca. She wasn't not paying attention, she is just busy. She has another job, which requires her fingers and eyes on her screen.

"Are you listening to me?"

She looked up at me, making sure that she listened.

"Yeah. I am"

Immediately back to her phone.

I let out a heavy sigh, trying so hard these past two days to recall the day of my birthday. Which was months ago. I am trying, but I was black-out drunk. He did not just expect something out of my unconscious self.

"I have to figure out what did I do on my birthday."

When I look again to my right, Tiana's whole focus was on me.

"Didn't you say you broke up with him like years ago?", Tiana said while putting her cheeks on her hand that was resting on the table to her side.

I rolled my eyes, "It's 2 years ago, and no...

He broke up with me"

Her eyes went wide and so does her mouth.

"You liar!"

I laugh, "Sorry It's very much embarrassing for me to admit that I got dumped".

For a while, Finn guy has been coming in while I am not on my shift. The last time I saw him, was the day I first met him. I am so comfortable calling him Finn now. Tiana informed me, that he did come back at the exact time I was working the day before but I wasn't around. The same thing happened almost every day.

"I know his name. I should've asked for his number, huh?" Tiana said.

"You know his name?! And didn't tell me!"

Tiana laughs, "Nope. I can't give you that information, it's strictly barista-customer confidential."

"You have to! For me!" I squirm.

She stood up to make an order, "Yeah I have to but not now, I am sick of you calling him Finn."

Tiana's accent makes it so hard for me to take her seriously. In my head, she sounds like Raquelle from Barbie. I and Tiana had gotten a lot closer since the day Lucy came into the shop. I've told everything about Lucy to her and her reaction was so different than Jeremy's.
