Chapter 9: Hermione

I don't know what happened.

Everything went black, and then I opened my eyes and I was back at Hogwarts. Madam Pomfrey was busy bustling around the bed.

"Excuse me, Madam Pomfrey?" I asked politely.
"Yes, my dear?"
"How did I get here? I can't remember a thing after... NO! Draco! Have you seen him? Is he alright? It's all my fault. Did they bring him back okay? Is he,"
"Draco is fine, dearie. There is nothing to worry about. Here, take this, it's to calm your nerves."
She handed me a cup of blue liquid, I drank it slowly, and started to feel myself falling asleep again. I welcomed the darkness gladly.

I woke up five days later. I was alone, at the foot of my bed was a piece of parchment, folded in half. I bent forward and picked it up. There was not much writing, but there didn't need to be. Here's what it said.

"To miss Hermione Granger,
I wish I could be there to tell you this in person, but due to certain circumstances I can't.
I write to inform you that shortly after rescuing you from your kidnappers, we found the body of one Draco Malfoy. I understand that this must be a shock to you to find out like this, my sincere apologies."
It wasn't signed.
I sat there for a moment staring at the paper, I did not cry, I did not react, I did nothing. I just sat there. I had no more tears to shed.
I sat up gingerly and pulled the covers back. I walked slowly toward the door, stumbling every now and then.
My vision went blurry. I felt strong hands clasp my waist and felt his breath on my cheek. I thought I was hallucinating, then I heard his familiar voice.
"Surprise."
I whirled around quickly and saw Draco standing there. He had that cocky look on his face.
"Draco Malfoy! You had me worried sick! How DARE you trick me like that! That was a horrible, awful thing to do, I can't believe you! You awful..."
He then leaned in and kissed me. He took me by the hand and lead me into the prefects bathroom, I didn't realise what he was doing at first, then I saw that it had been filled...

I turned to him, and watched him get unchanged slowly. He finished and walked closer, caressing my face with his hand. He slid into the tub, and beckoned
