The second ODI took place on 16th October in Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
The umpires were the same as the previous one.
The Australia had won the toss and had elected to bat first.
Batting first, all the five batters of the Australian team made a score of fifty or more, a feat which no side had previously achieved.
Aron Finch 50(53), Philip Huges 83(103), Shane Watson 59(53), George Bailey 92(50) * and Glenn Maxwell 53(32) helped their team to get an enormous score of 359 for 5 wickets.
It seemed to be a great decision by the Australian captain to bat first on the high scoring but this time there was something else which was about to happen from the Indian side. A rising storm that they hadn't predicted was approaching towards them.
It was again a big challenge for the Indian side as the target of 360 runs was an enormous one and they had already lost the first ODI.
No one did expect that's how Indian side would bat. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan made an opening partnership of 176 runs after which Dhawan was caught out on 95(86).
Later on star player Virat Kohli came to bat and stayed on the crease with Sharma who played a not out innings of 141(123).
Virat played a marvellous innings of 100*(52) which became the fastest century by an Indian cricketer in ODI.
India's score stood at 362/1 in 43.3 overs.
Rohit Sharma became the player of the match for his remarkable innings of 141 runs.
The match also became the second highest run chase to win an ODI.
India equalled the series at 1-1.
