The seventh ODI was played on 2nd November in M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Banglore, Karnataka.

The umpires were Nigol Llong (Eng) and Sundaram Ravi (Ind).

This was not only the last ODI but was also the decider which garnered a lot of public and media attention.

Australia had won the toss and had elected to field first.

Batting first Indian opener Rohit Sharma made his debut double century of 209 runs in 158 balls which also became the sixth highest individual score in ODI. He also made a new world record of hitting 16 sixes in one inning which was earlier in the name of Shane Watson who held the record of 15 sixes.

Shikhar Dhawan scored 60(57) runs and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni played an innings of 62(38) runs.
Left handed batter Suresh Raina contributed 28(30) runs in the total.

India's total score stood at 383 for 6 wickets which was one of the toughest challenge for the Australian team thanks to Sharma's innings.

Australian openers Aaron Finch 5(5) and Phillip Huges 23(33) didn't do much well for the first wicket.

Brad Haddin made 40 of 49 balls whereas power hitter Glenn Maxwell scored 60 runs of 22 balls which made him to equal the second fastest fifty in ODI cricket (18 balls).

James Faulkner scored his first ODI century and made 116 runs in 73 balls which became the fastest hundred for Australia.

Shane Watson missed his half century and got out on 49(22) runs.

James Faulkner was the man who stayed on the crease for a longer time and had almost made his team to reach the target but unfortunately he got caught out and hence the match was slipped from the Australian hands thanks to Mohammad Shami who took 3 wickets while conceding 52 runs in 8.1 overs with an economy rate of 6.36.

The Australia was all out on 326 runs in 45.1 overs.

Rohit Sharma became the player of the match for his marvellous double century.
