MAHARAJ AYUDHIK

"Maharaj. That Abhi found that the scum of a Sumraj is diligently reporting all of our doings to Devgiri." I nodded my head as I heard the familiar form of reporting from Sulekha. "Even if he was half as diligent. That rascals from Garudesh would never have been able to launch an attack on Suryagadh." Her cursing and informal language is an impossible thing to change.

"Nandini is flying around Chitra like a pesky fly." She scrunched her nose in disgust. Her rivilary with her is legendary. I immediately put away the work in my hand and paid attention to her. Now this is an important issue.

"The poison we were given to her wasn't actually a poison but a potion used to recover lost memories. Such potions are only found in Hind Kush. If my knowledge is correct it is fading away from her bloodstream. She is already recovering." She completed.

I frowned. Hind Kush is good in both potions and poisons. But such a thing to be used out of Hind Kush is an impossible feat considering they guard their skills with their lives. Poisons maybe found but potions are impossible.

Only Hidden Ace had the information about these potions but neither she told nor alerted me about this. Is she the one who gave Chitra the potion but then why and if she then why she didn't told me.

I sunk back into the chair as I thought about it. Rubbing my fingers together in deep thought. After a lot of time I asked. "Will.... she will change back to normal right ?" I asked in a cautionary tone. Sulekha nodded after some thought.

"This is definitely Megha's doing. According to our last intel. She had fled for North along Alwar and Kaling border towards Purvanchal. We might catch her if we hurry along." She said as if took out a leaflet. On bold was it was written that Princess Megha of Devgiri as a bounty of one lakh gold coins on her head.

"We could have sent people after her if she was heading South but North is Bhadrangini's territory. After our major defeat in Aravalli we have to lay low till the dust settles or Alekhya becomes queen of Alwar. If they even get a whim of our location it will jeopardize the entire Suryagadh." I said as I looked deeply at the portrait.

After I returned to Devgiri I never had a chance to see her face. The only thing I remember were her childlike face hidden behind her maids or trees in the garden I used to practice. She is a perfect mix of her father and mother unlike Alekhya who is said to be the female version of our birth giver and grandfather while I take entirely after my mother not even inheriting the symbolic black eyes of Devrajs not their efficiency with weapons.

But I don't need them anymore. My instincts and reflex are much more stronger. I can protect my people. I suppressed my feelings in my heart. To whom I should protect. In the years I had been away. Alekhya had practically formed her own empire and set her goals straight while I am the only one who is having himself floating aimlessly in a vast sea. I shook my head and kept the leaflet down. I will find my reason soon.

"Sulekha prepare for a wedding." I announced.

"Whose ?" She asked shockingly.

"Well I haven't decided yet."

-----------

I glanced at the shining palace. It's like the most brilliant jewel at night. The Chand Mahal. The partner of Surya Maha and decided as residence of the to be queen of Suryagadh. My wife. It sounds strange. Marriage never crossed my mind. Not before not now. If it weren't for Maha Mantri's advice I won't have thought about it ever.

The only couples I had saw in my life weren't that great. Well they weren't actually couples if we look properly. Well one week had passed and tonight I finally had courage to ask a person to marry me.
