Rain blurs Maria's view of Woodsmoor's very own exclusive adults only vampire club. The Last Drop, Maria wished the last drop of rain would fall soon as she waits for the door to be opened.
When it does she is quickly ushered inside and shown to the changing room. Inside there are a few different stalls, some with properly printed name tags that are neatly slotted into the name holders and others with sticky labels slapped lazily onto the door with the name written on. Maria also notices that some are larger than others in size.
Maria would bet her bottom dollar that the more spacious ones belong to those who earn the largest commission through 'providing adult entertainment' and have the more prominent clientele
Maria found a small stall with Alice M. written in a purple felt tip on a sticky name label.
"Its a themed day today." A voice calls behind her. Maria turns around to see a small asian woman with lushious black hair and dark, nearly black, eyes watching her.
"What's the theme?" Maria finds herself asking. Please, Maria thinks to herself, don't let it be something cheesy like scantily clad school girls and boys.
"Masquerade." The woman replies. "It very loosely links in with the draft with the whole concealed identity like the identity of their mates being secret and then being revealed."
"Oh I see. Have to admit that's clever - and not nearly as cringe inducing as I expected." Maria admits. "I'm Alice Marie."
"Ruka." The woman replies, "I'll be keeping an eye out for you all today so don't worry."
Maria chuckles, "So your the one we've got to impress then," Maria jokes just as Henry walks in.
"Oh sorry." Henry says red in the face. "I got told the changing rooms were here."
"Mens are just next door." Ruka says, "Don't worry handsome. Our male colleague's some times come in here to chat before work starts. As long as you don't accidentally wonder into one of our changing stalls no one will bother."
"Okay. Thanks and sorry again." Henry apologises whilst lowering his head and heading to the door.
When Henry is out the door and out of ear shot Ruka turns to Maria and says, "What a sweetie. I have a feeling he could do well here."
Maria thinks the same, but only if he can shake his embarrassment off about working in a place like the last drop.
"There's an outfit for you in there." Ruka points to the stall with her name on. "All clothing for work is provided. If you do take clients that have a preference or have any of your own theres a request form on the draw of the vanity unit."
"Thanks, I'll see you in a few." Maria says ducking into the stall with her name on.
The inside seems even smaller than the outside and there is just about enough room to sit at the vanity mirror and open the door. It's just as well they have a rule against going into anyone's elses stall. If someone tried to open that door without warning they would hit Maria for sure.
Maria holds up the 'outfit' a term that is as loose as the themes connection to the draft. It consisted a dark purple corset with a black floral print mesh over the top and and dark blue lace that matches blue speckled glitter on the short dark purple skirt.
Maria then notices the folder paper on her vanity table.
Since purple suites you so well. An outfit as well fitted as the dress you wore at your interview - Madam Bishop
Maria arches an eyebrow. She did not think purple suited her all that well. Pale blues and greens definitely but purple? It is not a colour shes would typically go for. Unfortunately, the number of dresses in which Emily owns that fit Maria were limited and the vast majority were far too elaborate for an interview.
