"Alycia, go check on Jade." I acted fast, before returning to my call with Stefan.
"Get here as fast as you can." I ended my call with Stefan, turning back to the torture room, Alycia rushing up the steps.
"Which Jade." I demanded, meeting William's blank expression.
"What do you mean 'which Jade'?"
"Did he give you a last name?"
"No. Why?"
"Dammit." I growled under my breath, turning to exit from the room.
"Wait! You can't just leave me in here!" William shouted.
I slammed the door shut, making sure to lock it after.
I was upstairs in a flash, hearing commotion up in my room along with the strong smell of blood. As I entered my room, I found an empty bed with sheets sprawled about, and a shocked Alycia with her back to me.
"Alycia? Where is she?" I approached her when she didn't answer, back still to me. The stench of blood grew far stronger.
And then when I turned her to face me, my heart sunk at the sight of her before me.
Her throat was slit, her hands covering the cut in attempt to stop the blood gushing out, the blood getting on me.
I ignored the urge of blood, well aware of my eyes bulging and my fangs popping out.
Acting fast, I picked Alycia up and set her down gently on the bed, biting into my wrist and bringing it to her mouth after, as she drank my blood. When she pushed my wrist away, she looked up at me in alarm, tears brimming her eyes.
"Alycia, calm down." I murmured, more like groaned, from the amount of her blood on me.
"Go.. go find her." She gasped out.
"No. I'm not leaving you."
"You need to-
-no."
"Listen to me Klaus." She snapped, wincing. "She is not herself. You need to find her and bring her back here before she hurts anyone else."
"I'm not leaving you to die." Alycia was like a mother to me, and she had protected my life many times in the past when she was in her prime years.
"I'll be fine." She gave me a warm smile, before sending me away with her wrist.
As I walked out of my room and down the cabin steps, I ripped off my shirt that was drenched in the blood of humans, throwing it in the fiery flames of the fireplace.
Stepping out into the troubled darkness, I breathed in the strong smell of Jade's captivating blood mixed in with the scent of something poisonous to my senses.
Luckily for me, she wasn't that far away.
Jade
Everything hurt.
My mind was an earthquake, my heart in flames, my body numb.
I was running outside once again, barefoot, every step worsening as my pace quickened.
I had the urge to cry and release the tears I was holding back, but I wasn't allowed to. I couldn't; something was holding me back, tearing me down from the inside bit by bit.
