They dragged me into a large camp at the center of what looked like a village but with lots of soldiers most of them fae* men and some other species I would have identified, have I not been basically dragged by the huge men,"Keep up, boy!" The dark skinned taller one to my right barked in my face,
I'm trying!...I just wish I was back in my tower away from these bad people. I stopped looking around and stumbled along in their hold until we reached the center of the camp by the large tent,
"Tell his highness that Captain Bane Furrow has returned to report"
After a while, the sentries opened the tent further,
...the inside of the large tent was absolutely beautiful. The silken drapery used as the inner layers, along with the bold maroon and gold color, was marvelous. before I could admire my surroundings any further, my captor spoke loudly and announced our presence
"Captain Bane, reporting to his Highness Prince Marcus!"
a low grumble was the response "go on, speak."The disinterest to whatever Captain Bane had to say really confused me
Why did they make such a ruckus if no one cared!, and I was dragged here for this!?
"ahem!, your highness, the rogue witch maiden had escaped when we were on her tail -"
he was cut off by an exasperated huff. "Well, why are you here then? Shouldn't you be out tracking her? You are wasting my time." The last bit was gritted out, and the guards surrounding me stiffened, Captain Bane, however, was just sighing
"Your Highness, you didn't let me finish." She escaped. However, we traced her back to a tower on the edge of this village. There were traces of her all over this place and we seized all of her apparatus and potions in hopes of using it to track her, not only that but we also found her apprentice who claims to be her son."
I looked up at him and rolled my eyes. For the first time since being captured, I dared to show any attitude
"I AM HER SON, can you not understand that! Why are you even looking for my mother?...we are poor, but that doesn't give you the right to be unlawfully hostile to us!"
I tried and failed miserably to make my soft spoken self sound resolute, but I was pissed not only did they kidnap me, they also tried to kidnap my mother!, no wonder she never returned, she must have been scared to come home thinking they would find me. I am so sorry mother, your efforts were in vain.
I wanted to cry. Before I could even shed a tear, more soldiers stepped into the tent with a tall lady leading them
"Captain Harella, reporting to his Highness Prince Maxime!"
wait, I thought his name was Marcus, I'm confused
the gold drapery separating us was moved aside and a tall- why is everyone so big!- anyway, a tall fae with dark brown eyes steps out followed by- wait, the same?-
they're twins! I have never seen twins before, I have read about them but never seen it,
they were very good-looking and so regal, the twins stared at me as much as I was them, and I recoiled at that, snapping them out of their stupor
"ahem!Bane, is this the little voice I just heard?"
his voice was very light and dignified, all my life listening through the door when my mother had guests, this is my first time hearing such a nice accent, even the guards and soldiers around us don't speak that nice
"yes, your highness this is the boy we found in her tower, when we tried to talk to him he threw books and glasses at us so we had to detain him with force, I think he might be apart of that witches schemes, so-"
