I sit in the passenger side of the truck. The truck sits high so it was a little hard for me to get up here. I look out at where Mrs. Collins stands, she's all by herself, waving. I wave and yell goodbye. Just as the truck starts moving, slowly Felisha comes out the doorway and starts yelling and waving too!

"Bye! See you soon!!!!" I yell and then we're out of the driveway. I shut the window since it was a sunny and warm afternoon but my father had the air conditioning on. I look out the window kinda afraid to say anything.

"Would you like to turn the radio on?" He asks me. I smile and nod. "Help yourself." He says.

"Okay." I say shyly and I turn the dial on the radio changing the different stations. Soon after a country song plays and I sing under my breath. My father smiles and waits until the song is over to speak.

"Your gonna love where we're going if you like country music." He says.

"Are we going to Kentucky," I ask, "the home of country music?"

He looks at me and says, "YeeHaw!"

I can't help but smile I mean, I'm going to live in Kentucky! OH MY GOSH! This is CRAZY! Kentucky baby!

My dad must know what I'm thinking because he looks at me with a crazy look on his face.

"What? I've never been to Kentucky and now I'm going to live there!" I say excitedly!

"It's okay I understand, say goodbye to New York and welcome in sweet old Kentucky!" He says and I smile.

About 2 hours into the road trip I get tired. "It's gonna be a long ride, you can close your eyes if you'd like." He says. I take out my little travel pillow I have in my 'in the car bag.'

I lay down as best I can and I close my eyes imagining what Kentucky looks likes.
