So I've been spending a lot of time at the store recently. I've been making crafts and slowly filling my aisle. We put the store on hold while I get my crafts on the shelves and put prices on them.
"Okay. Done!" I said a little louder because of my excitement. This is the first time I've ever had a chance at selling my stuff.
"Great! Let's go and hang the new sign up outside." The new sign is a masterpiece. It says, 'Saylene's New Craft Collection Sold Inside!' It's a pretty cursive font with with a red kind of maroon color to fill in the sign until the bold white boarder made all the white cursive letters stand out.
We hurry and run outside. Charlet's mom already is standing in a ladder hanging the sign by the chains that will latch onto the hooks. When it's all good and straight I take a step back a couple steps to find almost the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I gasp and Charlet comes and stands by me.
"I haven't had anything like this happen to me before." I say thankful.
"Oh but you've earned it. I see how hard you've worked this past week to prepare for everything."
"Thank you." I say going Charlet a hug.
"Well what are you guys just standing their for? We need a picture with the new craft collection sign. Go! Stand underneath!" Charlet's mom is so happy and just as excited as I am. So Charlet and I switch places with her mom.
Snap!
"Great job Saylene! It's hard to believe we've come this far in just a couple weeks." She says delighted coming to give me a hug.
"Mom your gonna break the camera or Saylene!" Says Charlet. I start to giggle and find that we all laugh together.
"O...k.. Girls." Chalets mom says in between breathes. "Let's put the open sign up."
We all wait inside behind the counter for just a couple minutes before a crowd of ladies comes in and my aisle is almost completely empty. Good thing I made just a couple extra because it's going to be a long, busy, eventful, day.
