Weeks had passed since Byeong-Ho's unexpected interaction with the bullies, and she had gradually become accepted as part of their group. Unbeknownst to her, the true nature of her newfound friends had remained hidden, leaving Byeong-Ho oblivious to their bullying behaviour towards others. Especially Dong-Eun.
One sunny afternoon, Byeong-Ho found herself laughing and enjoying the company of her friends in the school courtyard. The bullies, adept at disguising their true selves, had managed to gain Byeong-Ho's trust with their false charm and charisma. Yeon-jin was amazed by Byeong-Ho
How could this girl be so beautiful on the inside and outside? How could she be so calm every time Jae-Jun let out one of his unfunny jokes? Byeong-Ho revelled in the sense of belonging she had found within the group, unaware of the torment they inflicted upon others. She was fooled. A fool for them.Meanwhile, Dong-Eun, the target of the bullies' cruelty, observed Byeong-Ho's interactions from a distance. Shock and confusion swept over her as she witnessed Byeong-Ho seemingly at ease and enjoying herself with the very people who had made her life a living nightmare. "What is she doing with them?" she whispered to herself. It was a bitter realization that someone she had believed to be kind-hearted could associate with such individuals. Maybe she expected too much of her.
Dong-Eun's heart sank, torn between her initial perception of Byeong-Ho and the evidence presented before her. She struggled to make sense of it all, feeling a mix of disappointment, betrayal, and fear. How could someone she had hoped to find solace in join forces with the very bullies who had tormented her? She even planned to befriend her. Is this her fate? She still looked to her.
Filled with a mix of curiosity and apprehension, Dong-Eun mustered the courage to approach Byeong-Ho. Her heart raced, and her palms grew clammy as she got closer. The weight of her experiences with the bullies bore heavily upon her, making it difficult to trust anyone associated with them. Hopefully, she was not as bad as them. Suddenly, Byeong-Ho looked at her.
As their eyes met, Dong-Eun's fear consumed her, causing her to turn and flee in the opposite direction. She couldn't bear the thought of opening herself up to further pain and betrayal. Thoughts raced through her mind, wondering if she could ever trust someone who seemed to align with her tormentors. Her self-preservation instincts kicked in, urging her to keep a safe distance.
Byeong-Ho, taken aback by Dong-Eun's sudden departure, felt a pang of confusion and sadness. She couldn't comprehend why Dong-Eun had reacted that way. Her heart ached at the thought of causing someone distress, especially when she had intended to be a friend to everyone. The encounter left Byeong-Ho with an unsettling feeling, fueling her determination to understand and make amends. Was the girl afraid of her? But why?
Unaware of the bullies' true nature, Byeong-Ho's confusion grew. She couldn't fathom the reason behind Dong-Eun's fear, but she was determined to find out. Believing that understanding and kindness could bridge the gap, Byeong-Ho embarked on a quest to uncover the truth and mend the rift between them. She would speak with her. That was a sure thing.
In the following days, Byeong-Ho approached Dong-Eun with a gentle and respectful demeanour. Either if it was helping her or just having a small talk. She wanted to show her that she was different, that she possessed a genuine kindness that extended beyond her association with the bullies. Even though she didn't seem to see herself, with whom she was befriend
Each interaction was carefully calculated, mindful of the scars that Dong-Eun carried. Still, Dong-Eun seemed suspicious. It just seemed so unreal to her. Maybe it was a plan of them to trick her. Dong-Eun was being paranoid.Dong-Eun, plagued by doubts and haunted by the bullies' actions, observed Byeong-Ho from a distance. She couldn't deny the warmth in Byeong-Ho's smile or the sincerity in her gestures. It stirred a mix of conflicting emotions within her- a yearning for genuine connection and the fear of being hurt once again. She didn't want that.
As Dong-Eun wrestled with her emotions, the bullies noticed her gaze lingering on Byeong-Ho. Jealousy and possessiveness crept into their hearts, even though they just knew her for just a few days. Fueling their determination to protect their newfound friend and eliminate any potential threat to their influence. They couldn't fathom losing control over Byeong-Ho, especially to someone they perceived as weak. Someone they just saw as a victim, a plaything for their cruelty.
Whispers and malicious plans circulated among the bullies as they plotted something dark for Dong-Eun. They didn't want her to be with Byeong-Ho again. Their aim was to further isolate her and tarnish any chance of friendship with Byeong-Ho. Their cruelty knew no bounds as they sought to break her spirit and solidify their dominance over the group. They planned something bad behind the back of Byeong-Ho.
Unbeknownst to Byeong-Ho, she unwittingly became a pawn in their cruel game. The bullies manipulated situations, spreading false rumours and lies about Dong-Eun to poison Byeong-Ho's perception more. They revelled in the chaos they created, confident in their ability to control and manipulate their newfound friend.
As Dong-Eun's internal struggle intensified, the bullies' plan began to unfold. Their twisted intentions grew more sinister, threatening to shatter the fragile hope that had started to take root within Dong-Eun's heart. Each passing day heightened the tension, leading to an inevitable confrontation that would test the strength of their characters and the power of friendship.
They just didn't want Dong-Eun being close to Byeong-Ho. No matter what. No matter what they had to do.
