I have given up apologising for how long it takes me to repost at this point, though I do have an excuse, well two excuses my novel is officially finished, and my laptop is officially dead I have had to borrow my sister's laptop and use my mums desktop computer to get anything done.

Anyway this is the third instalment of the wolves of the omniverse story. The first is awakening the wolf, the second A timeless rose, if you haven't already check them out. they are currently under construction, just polishing them up a bit I've grow a lot as a writer since I started.

Hope you guys enjoy it.

I felt him coming, even before the walls of the vault had been breached. I knew he would come; it would always be the Doctor making impossible decisions, saving the day. And so, I let him take me. Secreting me away to a desert planet within this time lock.

"Time Lords of Gallifrey, Daleks of Skaro, I serve notice on you all. Too long I have stayed my hand. No more. Today you leave me no choice. Today, this war will end. No more. No more." He calls out as if they can hear him, carrying me over his shoulder in a sack further and further away from the Tardis until her consciousness can't reach him. She cannot bear witness to the atrocities he will commit. Finally, he stops entering a lonely barn.

[Barn]

He drops the sack down rather indelicately, if I had a physical body that would have hurt, or maybe not I am after all a goddess. The bag falls away revealing a brass inlaid clockwork box. My shell, my prison, I don't remember the truth of if anymore. But I do know it's time for me to leave this place.

Leaning down the Doctor. No that's not what he is calling himself anymore, no he's the Warrior now. He has shed his identity, to save the word and in doing so he has damned himself.

"How, how do you work? Why is there never a big red button?" He runs his hand along the matrix.

That's it that's all it takes. One touch, a wolfs call echo's across the planet.

The Doctor stops dead, rushing to the door to investigate the noise.

As he looks outside, the matrix releases my essence, my powers reforming my physical body in a matter of seconds

"It's nothing." The Doctor spins staring at me sat on what's to be considered the most dangerous item sealed away by the timelords in confusion. "It's just a wolf."

"Don't sit on that!" He flaps, rushing to push me away.

I smile indulgently silly man, asking why.

"Because it's not a chair, it's the most dangerous weapon in the universe." He hurries me from the barn and closes the door behind me. It doesn't work when he turns there, I am still sitting on the box.

"Why can't it be both? Why did you park so far away? Didn't you want her to see it?"

He looks between me and the door, confusion maring his weary features. I smile, this Time Lord is different from the others.

"The Tardis. You walked for miles, and miles and miles and miles and miles."

"I was thinking." He admits. As if I didn't already know.

Swinging my legs letting them gently tap against my prison "I know, I heard you." I giggle into my hands. He truly has no idea who I am.

"You heard me?"

"No more. No more." Bouncing to my feet I make a show of fake marching to the beat of his words.

"No more. No more. No more."

"Stop it." The Doctor snaps, catching my arms.

With a cheeky smile I repeat It one last time.

The Doctor questions who I am as the clockwork mechanisms in my prison makes a noise.

"It's activating. Get out of here." He waves me away. Impertinent man. As he grabs the box from the ground, dropping it with a yell, looking down at his palms in alarm.

"What's wrong." I ask already knowing his answer. Playing a part in a movie you've already seen is quite boring.

"The interface is hot."

Laughing I say, "Well, I do my best."

He doesn't hear me, don't know if that can be classed as typical time lord or man. But either way he's not listening.

"There's a power source inside." He freezes my words finally catching up with him. "You, you're the interface."

"They must have told you the Moment had a conscience. Hello! Oh, look at you. Stuck between a girl and a box. Story of your life, eh, Doctor?" I don't know where that one came from, I can see a hazy memory, but no its wrong somehow. I shake myself out of the daze now is not the time.

"You know me, you choose that face right. You chose it to mess with me. My wife, my dead wife's face, my wife who was destroyed by time lords." The Doctor takes a deep breath trying to reel in his anger.

His anger is palpable, I can almost taste it. I don't understand his words, I am bad wolf and this is my body it has been since I was reborn. I've only had two bodies, this is the second, I'm sure of it.

"I'm sorry Doctor I am confused this is my body always has been."
"Don't call me Doctor." He snaps turning from me.

"That's the name in your head."
"It shouldn't be. I've been fighting this war for a long time. I've lost the right to be the Doctor."

My heart breaks with his words, I want to reach out and hold him, no this isn't me.

"If you have been inside my head, then you know what I've seen. The suffering. Every moment in time and space burning. It must end, and I intend to end it the only way I can."

"And you're going to use me to end it by killing them all, Daleks and Time Lords alike. I could, but there will be consequences for you." I don't mean to snap, but I am getting sick of timelords trying to dictate my life. I am free noe. I will destroy this planet I don't need this man to ask me too, not after they locked me away. No consequences required, the timelords will die.

"I have no desire to survive this." Empty words of a brokens soul. With a sigh I know I have to let him live, this is my revenge against the time lords, it just happens to coincide with his war. But he doesn't need to know that.

"Then that's your punishment. If you do this, if you kill them all, then that's the consequence. You live. Gallifrey. You're going to burn it, and all those Daleks with it, but all those children too. How many children on Gallifrey right now?"

I can't tell if I'm asking him or me, but what little humanity I had died when the timelords locked me in that box, I still haven't been able to recover my memories from before.

"I don't know." He whispers, staring at me like I had asked him to kill each one himself. Why does that thought make my stomach drop. I am a goddess, children die every day, planets burn every day. Why does this one matter.

"One day you will count them. One terrible night." I whisper into the room. As we share a look worth a thousand words. "Do you want to see what that will turn you into? Come on, aren't you curious?"

A whirling portal opens above us. I smile, it's a sad smile. "I'm opening windows on your future. A tangle in time through the days to come, to the man today will make of you."

A fez drops through the portal. We both look at it bemused.

"Okay, I wasn't expecting that." I admit with a startled laugh.
