Last chapter as promised, it is currently 1am and I've just finished the last chapter, just got to do edits and I can post this one too.
[National Gallery]
They stop at the national gallery when the danger is over, sitting having a cup of tea in front of the painting Gallifrey Falls. The three Tardis's lined up by the wall. The opposite decorated with a collection of roundels.
"I don't suppose we'll know if we actually succeeded. But at worst, we failed doing the right thing, as opposed to succeeding in doing the wrong." The warriors smile at the painting sadly.
"What is it actually called?" The 10th asks.
"Well, there's some debate. Either No More or Gallifrey Falls." Rose smiles behind her teacup, an action not missed by the 11th.
"I think it's time for you two to go home. You." She says straightening the 10th tie. "Go home to me, I leave you alone for 5 minutes and you marry the virgin queen." She pushes him towards his Tardis. "And you, my Doctor," She takes the war Doctors hands in hers, "You may forget everything we did today, but you will always be the Doctor, you bring hope wherever you go. So go find me, hold my hand and tell me to run. Start our life together."
"It has been an honour and a privilege." He says kissing her hands.
"Need a moment alone with your painting?" Clara asks her Doctor, with a smile.
"How did you know?" He smiles, his eyes never leaving Roses figure, stood statue still saying goodbye to the war doctor.
"I could be a curator. I'd be great at curating. I'd be the Great Curator. I could retire and do that. I could retire and be the curator of this place."
Rose laughs, "You ramble a lot in this generation don't you."
"Oh, hush you," She smiles joining him on the bench.
"What do you make of the title?"
"Which title? There's two. No More or Gallifrey Falls."
"That's where everybody's wrong. It's all one title. Gallifrey Falls No More. Now, what would you think that means, eh?"
"That Gallifrey didn't fall. It worked. It's still out there. Then where is it?"
"No idea."
"Rose."
"What? I didn't blow it up what more do you want from me." He just laughs pulling her into his arms, kissing her forehead.
They sit for a while before the Doctor pulls her up and into the Tardis.
"Where is Celesia?"
"She goes by Clara now. She'll be in her room giving us some privacy so we can talk."She looks up at him from under her lashes as he guides her to their room. A room she hasn't seen in so long tears gather on her lashes. He pulls her on the bed settling her between his legs so her head can rest on his chest.
"We need to talk about Gallifrey."
"I don't, please."
"Rose, I went back so many times over the years, trying to find you. Find what they did to you. It wasn't until that Christmas you met my brother did, I know. He told me what they did to you. Where they hid you away like a dirty secret."
"He knew."
"He thought I rescued you, until he saw how human you were."
"But he knew."
"He thought us both dead, he thought them locking you away meant we had both died. He never returned to Gallifrey; he presumed I had perished saving our grandchild."
"I'm sorry."
"You have nothing to be sorry for. They will pay for their crimes. I'll even let you deal with the high council how you see fit, though they are not the men that imprisoned you."
"They'll do. But." She sits up bracing her hands on his chest "You have a promise to keep."
He grins leaning in to kiss her, his hand tangling in her hair.
"No, no." She pulls away reluctantly biting her lip, "Do not distract me with sex, you promised me my grandchild."
"We'll go in the morning.""Tardis, time travel lets go." she hops out of bed with a smile, as he groans falling back into bed.
Rose finds Clara in the console room.
"Isn't it weird."
"Hello to you too."
"Really mum."
"The first time I met him, he was already in love with me. The first time he met me, I had already married him. Time travel is complicated sometimes we meet in the wrong order, but we are always there when we need each other most.
"She right we always find our way back into one another's arms." The Doctor says wrapping his arms around Roses waist.
"Arkytior, Arkytior right now mister." She demands poking his chest.
"Fine, fine."
Within seconds they are in the time vortex. Rose asking a million question on where and when she is living now. If she's happy. The Doctor just smiles and tells her to wait and see for herself.
The Tardis land in a dirty alleyway Rose hardly notices. Because there not two feet in front of her is her only surviving grandchild.
With a cry of grandmother the woman are embracing, a man stands further back holding a small child. He nods in greeting to the Doctor and Clara but stays back he has never understood his wife's family.
And with that the woman within the wolf is complete, before I start on the next part i am going back and doing edits on the first part and maybe the second
let me know what you think
