The ringing in her ear.
It was so loud that Odette couldn't hear people rushing around her. Or a lady announcing an arrival of her train. She could only get out of her trance when she felt a gust of wind brushing her face. Odette wiped away her tears and straightened up. She reached into her pocket to feel her wand. It always calmed her down. Make her feel like she was in control. But not this time.
The train finally stopped. She took her suitcase and get in. She showed the conductor her ticket that she was clutching all this time. Odette sat down and looked at her hands. She took few deep breaths. The young witch didn't want to think about everything that happened. But how could she not? They have known each other since her first year in Hogwart. They were always so close. At first friends, then it bloomed into a beautiful relationship. At least it was beautiful until this day. Odette really thought that the man she loved the most would support her. He would be there for her when she needed him. She was wrong.
He made it clear what he wanted. And she made her decision, too. So Odette decided to start her new life. Without looking back, at her past. Just focus on her future. And maybe she will find a way.
