I am currently attending The University of West Indies, Mona Campus.

According to dem, "I'm studying for a BSc majoring in marketing."

I am in my first year, second semester, and mi nuh think this school thing a work out for me.

But, girl broke, and as Ms. Kitty said, "We nuh have nuh rich mada or fada, and we nuh have nuh trust funds to fall back on" or something like that, so you know girl affi do weh she affi do.

Apart from that, can you imagine they accepted me in the middle of the semester, shortly before the exams began?

Sock a salt man. 

A nuff mi nuff still because I should have just waited till the second semester began.

But, noo.

Mi waah, start with my friend dem.

Just pree how mi go innah the people dem exam and fail.

Last semester, I was doing nuff things one time.

At this point, you can call me Wonder Woman.

I started school late, I was working, and mi nuff up and enter pageant.

It's safe to say that I failed two courses, and I intend to take it slowly for the upcoming semester because I need to finish with first-class honors.

Enough of me rambling about school; let me get up and get ready for the day.

8:30 am

As mentioned before, yuh girl is finally a college student.

So, you know, adulthood is creeping up on her...lol.

"Yyyy pon the hood stillz," my intrusive thoughts muttered.

I'm 19 years old and is currently in my "last teen year," as I like to call it.

It's safe to say that adulting is the most ghetto thing I have done in my entire life.

The reality of having to do everything for myself on a daily basis stresses me out.

I need to pause life and rewind, because this is not it.

Let's also discuss the reality that you're only an adult to your parents when it's convenient for them, but when it comes to you making choices they don't approve of, you're a child with no sense of direction....kmt.

So, as young adults, we need to sort out our documents and make sure we are up-to-date Inna the people dem country.

I've already looked about my NIS and began the process of getting my national ID; all that remains is for me to pick it up.

Sometimes I can't be bothered with the Jamaican government system because anything involving dem takes over a century.

Every time mi go fi collect, it is an extension date mi collect instead.

Anyway, the doll has to look about her passport in case one of these days my pocket feels a little heavy and I feel like crossing the waters.

Who knows? Maybe I'll meet a little boyfriend and he'll fly me out.

Caah mek, because of my lack of procastination, I miss out on valuable time with the people dem.

To have a "people dem man" my subconscious intervene, you must first have a relationship or even in a situationship.

Okay, Miss knows it all. "I roll my eyes inwardly."

If mi know wah good fi mi, mi write an itinerary in my notes app.

Because, as a young girl, the brain is not braining

I also need to look about my driver's license.

I do not have the money to buy a car, but by the grace of God, I will get it.
