yunjin wakes up to her head-pounding alarm, and also, a message from...kazuha?

zuha: good morning! eat some breakfast, and make sure to drink plenty of water! see you at school <3

yunjin felt a familiar heat rushing from neck to her ears. it wasn't the first time kazuha sent a morning text, but every time she does, it doesn't fail to make her flustered.

as yunjin started to get ready, all she could think about was kazuha. yunjin wanted to ask her out, on a friendly date; obviously.

all yunjin needed was a perfect moment, where it was just the two of them.

"hey, unnie?", kazuha whispered. they were in the middle of class, yunjin was spacing out, she already knew the material so she didn't care enough to listen to whatever the professor had to say.

yunjin turned to kazuha to give her a small smile, just to let her know that she's listening to whatever she needs to ask.

"my tutor quit on me, saying he was going somewhere after school. do you mind tutoring me? that's if you're not busy! it's just that your top of our class." kazuha was rambling, yunjin found it...endearing?

interrupting her, yunjin gave kazuha a small, "of course kazuha"

school was finally over, and everyone was packing up. luckily, kazuha and yunjin were able to sneak out of the classroom and right out of the school doors to study at the café down the street.

once they arrived, they were immediately greeted with a warm smile. both kazuha was the café's frequent customer, all her time here spent with friends or studying.

"zuha-unnie!! it's been way too long since we've seen each other! how have you been? how's school? have you gotten a girlfriend yet?", eunchae, from the name yunjin read on the nametag the seemingly young girl had on her uniform seemed quite close with kazuha.

"manchae chill with the questions, i've been fine, school is great, and for the last question no." eunchae visibly frowned while yunjin released a breath she didn't even know she was holding. "but anyways, how's school? are you failing any classes?", kazuha asked; it had been awhile since the two had talked, kazuha being busy with school and eunchae being busy with her part-time job and school.

"school has been a trainwreck, there are so many projects happening and my teachers are giving such a small amount of time to complete them, miraculously, i'm passing all of my classes! but enough small talk, what can i get for you....two? you two are together right?"

this time, yunjin spoke, "yes we are together! can i get an iced americano, and for the lady" yunjin wiggled her eyebrows at kazuha.

kazuha giggled at the gesture, but before she could even order, eunchae spoke, seemingly startling yunjin, but kazuha seemed used to it.

"so that'll be a iced americano and a hibiscus herbal tea with two sugar cubes with a danish on the side?"

"absolutely! thank you eunchae, how much is that?" just as kazuha was about to slide her card to eunchae, she was stopped.

"let me pay for it." yunjin said with such confidence that kazuha backed down.

"ma'am, your card declined."

"WHAT."

"it's cool. i'll pay for it unnie."

once they sat down with their drinks in hand, yunjin and kazuha immediately got to work; going over every little thing to make sure that kazuha understands the topic thoroughly.

"kazuha, did you understand this last chapter? do we need to go over it again?" yunjin's voice faded away as kazuha spaced out, looking directly at yunjin's lips. all kazuha could think about was how plush and inviting they looked, yunjin took a sip of her drink and a drip went down her lip. kazuha watched as yunjin's tongue poke out of her lips to slowly lick the coffee before it went down her chin.

a cough brought kazuha out of her trance, looking back up at yunjin's shocked and...disappointed eyes?

"for a second there, i though you were going to kiss me, but that's not what we're here for, are we?" with just a few words, yunjin made kazuha crimson red.

"if you were too busy staring at my lips, i believe that would end our study session right?" yunjin concluded, already packing up the textbooks, the star shaped sticky notes that yunjin had a seemingly endless amount of, along with her snake shaped pens.

"kazuha, are ready? it's 7:38, closing is at 8:00 and the baristas are waiting for us to leave so they can close early!" yunjin had her backpack on, her hair was a little disheveled and her uniform looked loose, her blouse wrinkled and tie messed up.

"um, yeah!" kazuha threw on her backpack and adjusted her glasses.

"lets go!"
