Life throws you on a roller coaster and life makes you love people you shouldn't. And at that moment, Luke felt that his life wanted him to fail and fall in love with a person he shouldn't; A high school student. How did a college professor fall in love with a high school student? Well, for one, the high school student was a kid of another college professor that Luke was friends with and because of that, he had met her son several times. Luke wasn't a pedophile, no, he just, whats the word, fell in love with someone who was too young, and who he shouldn't love as much as he did.

Luke just loved his ever changing hair color, and loved how when he smiled, a whole room would just become happy and no one could be gloomy. He loved the boys eyes, even if he really couldn't see the color that well since they had a slight haze over them. If it wasn't obvious by know, the high school boy was blind. Luke didn't know much about how he became blind, all he knows is that the boy, whose name he just found out recently was Michael, was in an accident in his freshmen year, which destroyed his eye sight. He also knew that Michael's father died in the accident as well. Another question that always bothered Luke, was why did he dye his hair if he couldn't see the color? And anyways, what did it matter to Luke? Maybe this was one of the only things that made Michael happy.

Luke sighed, and finished packing his bag before he started walking out of his classroom, thinking about how he has been alone with Michael in his mind and he has kissed him a thousand times in his dreams, but this could never prepare him if he was to ever to get close to the boy and maybe even become friends or more. But Luke wasn't allowed to think about being more than friends, Michael may have been a senior, but to a college professor who was 27 that was quite a age gap and Michael was only 17. That was ten years too many for any reasonable person to accept. And if people did accept their relationship, it would not be a healthy one, Luke was sure.

Right when Luke was going to leave his classroom, since while he thought he just stopped and stood in front of the door, he heard taps down the hallway and knew that it was Michael. He saw him pass outside his door, and just kind of stared at him.

"Hello, Michael." Luke said quietly, waiting till Michael finished walking to go to his car, when Michael perked up with a reply to Luke.

"good Afternoon, Dr. Hemmings. Can you help me to my mom's room?" His voice was shy and wobbly, but it was so cute, and it just made Luke's heart hurt. Luke sighed, and tried to forget about his feelings for the pink haired boy in front of him, personally, this was his favorite color he has dyed his hair yet.

"Sure Michael... Here, take my arm." Luke says, slightly putting his arm on Michael so he can feel it and grab it. Luke wished it was him who Michael was looking for, rather than his mother, but hey he isn't important in Michael's life. Michael clasped his walking stick and grabbed Luke's arm, and smiled.

"thanks, Dr. Hemmings, I can never remember where it is. I can't really see where it is..but yeah. You understand right?" Michael asked, turning his head towards Luke, even though he wasn't looking at Luke, well it's not like he could in the first place.

"I understand... Well, we are at your mom's room now." He said, walking Michael in, and seeing his Mother waiting there at her desk.

"There you are Michael! I thought you got lost." She said, walking over to Michael, and hugging him after Micheal let go of Luke's arm.

"Mom, Dr. Hemmings helped me to your classroom. Pretty sure I wouldn't get lost when someone's guiding me." Michael said, with mock irritation in his voice, since he was smiling at how over worrying his mother was towards him. Luke could see it in his eyes and could see it in his smile, that Micheal was all he ever wanted and his arms were open wide for Michael to fall in and cry or talk or just cuddle, but that wasn't right. he shouldn't be thinking about anything like he was. It was wrong.
