the house

Jayden ended up calling a taxi beacuse her feet started to hurt half way through their walk back to the house.

"Take care." Brian said as he started to walk away from the house.

"Yo, Goldie!" Jayden called out as Brian turned to her.

She looked back at the house and then back to him, "You want a beer?"

"Yeah, sure."

Letty was on the floor, Vince was tuning his guitar, Leon had a girl on his lap, talking with her, and Jesse was laying on the couch

Letty was on the floor, Vince was tuning his guitar, Leon had a girl on his lap, talking with her, and Jesse was laying on the couch.

Jayden made a beeline for him.

"Oh, Jayden, thank God." He ran up to her and gave her a hug and a kiss on the forehead.

"You're okay, right?" She pulled away inspecting him.

He rolled his eyes, "Yes, mom."

Dom stepped over Letty and made his way toward Leon, "Yo, Dom. Hey, man. We were just about to go looking for you," He was interupted by Dom throwing the beer out of his hand.

Dom went for Vince next, "Where were you?"

"There were mass cops there. They came in from every direction. That shit was orchestrated."

"This your beer?" He asked Vince.

"Yeah, that's my beer."

Dom stole his beer, walking back to Brian as Letty said, "You all right?"

"Am I all right?"

"It was just a question."

Vince then spotted Brian, "Yo, Jay! Why'd you bring the buster here?"

Fed up with his shit Jayden whipped her head towards him, "Cuz the buster kept us out of handcuffs! He didn't just run back to the fort! The buster brought us back."

Dom walked back over to Brian with two beers in his hands, "You can have any brew you want."

"As long as its a corona." Jayden smirked.

Brian grabbed a beer from Dom's hand, while Jayden took the other one.

"Thanks, guys."

"That's Vince's, so enjoy it."

Looking at Vince, Brian wiped the tip of the bottle on his shirt, then drank it.

"Hey, Jay? You got a bathroom?"

"Yeah, cmon I'll show you where it is."

They walked upstairs, while Brian walked to the bathroom, Jayden walked into Mia's room to see if she needed any help with her homework, "Hey, girl. Need any help with algebra?" She chuckled out, seeing a mess of papers scattered on her bed.

Mia had a look of relief on her face as she got up to give Jayden a hug.

"No, I'm all good. Just glad you're okay though."

"Yeah, I'm good, girl. I always come back, don't I?" She pulled back holding her shoulders, as Mia stared at her with a smile on her face.

"Is Brian here?" She teased Jayden.

"Yes, he is." She rolled her eyes with a grin on her face.

"Girl, then what are you doing up here? Go get him." She shoved Jayden out of her room and down the hall.

"Okay. Okay." She laughed walking back downstairs.

She spotted Brian leaning on the counter, "Yo, Goldie

She spotted Brian leaning on the counter, "Yo, Goldie."

He looked back at her, "You know you owe me a 10-second car, right?"

"Oh, do I, now?"

She leaned on the counter, next to him, "Yeah, you do."

She took a sip of her beer, smirked at him, and continued, "I can't wait to see what you come up with."

"It'll be good," He leaned in closer to her and whispered, "Trust me."

Jayden cleared her throat before speaking again, "You know, Dom likes you. He doesn't like a lot of people."

"Yeah, he's a complicated guy."

"What about you?"

He smirked, "I'm simpler."

Jayden took another sip of her beer, "You're a shitty liar."

Brian threw his arm around her, "Well, I'll take that as a compliment."

She adjusted under his touch, "There's a problem."

"What's that?"

"You need to get some sleep. And you definitely, definitely need a shower."

He smirked down at her, "Come on, I'll take you home."
