Two cars came down the street, revving their engines.

"Yeah, here they come." Tej smirked talking to the group.

The guys parked the cars and got out of them.

"Fonzie and Fabio. Glad you can join us." Roman tilted his head to look at them.

"We heard you boys wanted to get rid of those Cracker Jack toys."

"Nah, actually we figured those cars you got deserve better drivers, which is why we're gonna take them off your hands." Brian spoke with a smirk.

"You know why don't we settle this now?" One of the guys said.

Tej moved forward, "Wait, wait, wait. How about we settle this on the blacktop? Each car does a down-and-back, tag-team style. For slips."

"I don't know, Tej—"

Jayden hopped off the bed of the truck, "—Goldie here doesn't have a great track record with racing for slips."

Brian turned his head to look at her, wondering why she was acting the way she was.

"Loser walks home." Suki said to the guys as they were talking about how they came to race.

"Let's get these cars, bro." Brian said patting Roman's chest.

"Nah, I'm driving." Jayden said walking toward the cars.

"Who says I'm gonna let you?" Brian called out to her.

"You telling me no?"

"Yeah, I am."

Jayden bit her lip and looked at him, "Well, it's a good thing I don't take orders from you." She finished walking back to the cars.

"Aye, Suki? What's up with her lately?" Brian asked walking back toward her.

Suki shrugged, "She's got a lot on her mind, bullet."

"Like what?"

Suki held his hand, "Talk to her, maybe you'll get somewhere."

As she let go of his hand Brian rubbed his head in confusion.

He walked over to where Jayden stood by the cars, "Hey." He sighed leaning next to her.

"Hi." She smiled lightly.

"What's going on in that pretty little mind of yours?"
