It was the day of my 17th birthday.

I woke up in a hotel room to Rusty licking my face and the sound of Rosie, Bones and Alex all yelling "Happy birthday!!!" simultaneously at me.

I rubbed my eyes and smiled, the warmth of their love and excitement making me feel like I was wrapped in a big, fluffy blanket.

"Thank you, guys!" I said, my voice still slightly laced with sleep. "You didn't have to!"

Rosie jumped onto the bed, bouncing on it, like an energetic 8 year old child. "Of course we had to!"

Bones and Alex joined in, cheering and clapping. They handed me a wrapped gift, a beautifully decorated box with a handwritten note attached.

"Open it!" Alex urged, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.

Carefully, I untied the ribbon and lifted the lid. Inside of it was a vinyl - David Bowie's greatest hits.

Squealing, I jumped out of bed, tightly wrapping my arms around Alex. "Oh my god, I love it!"

"Very predictable." Alex said, but he smiled, hugging me back.

Bones then passed me a package. "From me." he said.

It was quite heavy, wrapped in paper and bound with a light rope. Somebody - I presume Rosie, since they looked very similar to the drawings on her bass - had drawn little doodles all over the paper.

Not wanting to break it, I carefully undid the rope, then unwrapped the paper.  the Inside of it were multiple books - "The Picture Of Dorian Grey" by Oscar Wilde, "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Bronte, and "Catch 22" by Joseph Heller.

"Oh my God!! Bonesss!!" I jumped up and wrapped my arms around him. He took a step back, stunned, but hugged me back nonetheless.

"And now from me!" Rosie said. Her package was not very big. I opened it, and inside was a box. When I opened that box, it was a bracelet. It was silver, with the charms of a gutair, a dog and a heart on it. The heart was very small, but if you opened it, it would have

"You can add more charms onto it whenever you want" she said.

"RosieIloveyousofuckingmuch!" I gasped, hugging her the tightest I possibly could.

"You're suffocating me!" she gasped, but still hugged me back the same way I was hugging her. She was right, it was suffocating, but it was still so damn nice.

Eventually, I let go of her, and she let go of me. She then jumped off. "That's not all though!"

She grabbed her bass, and with a mischievous grin, she launched into a lively birthday tune, with Alex playing his guitar and Bones tabbing his pens on some cups and the desk, as his drum kit wasn't in the hotel room with us. I didn't know how to react. I just stood there awkwardly, feeling my face go red. It was all so sweet of them.

After the serenade was over, Alex brought out a birthday breakfast for us to share - pancakes, with whipped cream and all sorts of berries - strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries - on it. There were 17 candles lit on it.

"Make a wish!" Alex exclaimed.

Shutting my eyes, I furiously thought "Alex, Bones, Rusty, Rosie and I will all be together forever."

We shared that birthday breakfast, devouring pancakes while and laughter. Alex had poured an excessive amount of sprinkles all over the pancakes because "they're the best part!!!" so they kept on spilling all over the sheets. Rusty licked up a couple of them.
