Dear Y/N,

I hope this letter finds you in good health, and that you've won whatever civil war you were hired to fight in. A lot has happened while you were away, so much that I don't even know where to begin. Well, for starters I hope you enjoy the food I sent you, I know you love them. We've had a lot of new villagers coming in, thanks to a woman whose helped upgrade your past builds! She's nice, and she seems to really care for the people here.. it'd be better if you were here, so I could explain. I know you won't listen to me, you never do, but do understand that I'm putting my foot down for this one. You've been gone  so long I'd like to say I've lost count, we both know that's a lie.. we've missed you and are positive that you're overworking yourself. Come home and meet all the new villagers, so much seems to be going on nowadays, and so much I have to tell you face to face. The village has come back to life, thanks to the combined efforts of yourself and Aphmau (the nice lady I was talking about). You've yet to write back, and once again.. I know why, if you won't write then come home instead, we miss you.

Yours truly,

Garroth

.

.

I huffed when I finished the letter, mostly at the fact that Garroth said 'we' miss you instead of 'I', damned liar. I turn to raven and hand him a ruby as thanks, one that makes his slitted eyes glow in satisfaction.

"Than you for the food and the delivery, as beautiful as always." I winked at the wyvern, who bows his golden scaled head in thanks.

"You pay beautifully as always, did you earn this or did you mine and carve it yourself?" He asked, and I grinned and took a bite out of the donuts Garroth made for me. I had decided to take up baking a while ago, and of course, roped my best friend into doing it with me. I had absolutely botched the recipe and given myself food poisoning, but Garroth had made it taste heavenly.. and then nursed me back to health, but we don't talk about that bit. He could tell by my smile what my answer had been, and hummed in approval.

"You haven't written back at all, and he's sent you a good number of letters.." Raven nodded toward my satchel, hanging off the side of my horse.. full of letters from Garroth. I read them all of course, but didn't have the heart to write back. He knew I was avoiding coming back, ever since my father died.. I haven't wanted to be there, it was like being in a husk of a village that was once filled with life and everything else.

Maybe, if what Garroth says is true.. I'll come back, I've been taking up every job I could. I've got plenty of money, more then enough for upgraded defense and materials.. also plenty worth of being stolen, and I don't wanna risk being mugged right now. I've got my own fair share of wounds from my last battle, so I guess it is time to go home; can't hide from my problems forever.
